Price Spikes Vs. Price Relief

There are a whole lot of people in Maine who would like to see something that will set the price of electricity in the opposite direction of what occurred last January when "Standard Offer" electric supply prices went up to 11.81 cents per kilowatt-hour from 6.45 cents per Kw/Hr, and that 11.81 cents is the lowest price compared to the other companies offering electric supply, which according to the Public Advocate's office range from 13.00 cents Kw/Hr…

A Democrat-Republican Tyrannical Junta Sustained by a Rogue National Security Apparatus Undermines the American Constitutional Republic

If the mainstream media were not an enemy of the people, they would be working overtime to answer the following six questions:

5 W's and 1 H

Who is it about?

What happened?

When did it take place?

Where did it take place?

Why did it happen?

How did it happen?

H = BBB (Bribery, Blackmail and Brainwashing)

We could surely add more for H (How) such…

"Confidentiality" and " Ambiguity"

President Reagan perceived the nature of government in his famous quote about the nine most terrifying words. "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"

I offer a few words derived from the "Northern Maine Renewable Energy Development Program" that should terrify every electric customer in Maine: " Confidentiality" and " Ambiguity"
Last November in response to an order from the legislature,…

Ballots and Voting Machines

Does anyone know why a voting machine would spit a ballot back once it was inserted. Most machines keep the ballot upon insertion. What happens to the ballot if the voter who inserted it into the machine has left the polling place and the clerk doesn't/can't leave his post to retrieve the voter. Is the ballot deemed invalid and discarded? Is it set aside for a hand count?

Exclusive: Joe Biden Is Filling Up Maine Hotels to House His Illegal Migrants — Illegals Get Better Government Freebies than Low Income US Workers

Joe Biden is filling up Maine Hotels with his illegal migrants.

In case you were wondering where the millions of illegals who have walked across our open border are ending up — They’re in your backyard.

This morning a Maine reader sent this tip to The Gateway Pundit.

I had driven by the Casco Bay Inn on Route 1 in Freeport, Maine a number of times. I noticed the “No Vacancy” sign but only a couple of cars in the parking lot.…

It’s hot, and the AC’s cranking. But utilities are confident in New England’s power grid.

Prolonged cold snaps, not heat waves, are more likely to hamper electric reliability in the region.

CMP will keep access to corridor route if it wins court battles

The developers of a $1 billion hydropower corridor running from the Canadian border through western Maine will be able to keep access to a key permit if they prevail in two court challenges.

The permit over public lands was first granted by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to the New England Clean Energy Connect project but…

July 22, 2022

[J]ust 1 percent of voters in a recent New York Times/Siena College poll named climate change as the most important issue facing the country, far behind worries about inflation and the economy. Even among voters under 30, the group thought to be most energized by the issue, that figure was 3 percent.”…

"State environmental board lets permit stand for transmission line project"

"But the energy corridor's fate still hinges on a Maine Supreme Court ruling on the validity of a 2021 referendum that was designed to kill the $1 billion construction project."

Will the court allow just 18% of eligible voters determine the fate of this price reducing project?

Or will they remand it back to the legislators to do the right…

Maine’s environmental policies praised by San Francisco CEO of multibillion-dollar solar company

Well of course you are going to praise buyers of solar nonsense. "An uneducated consumer is your best customer"

Article:

by David Marino Jr.

A solar executive of a leading national clean energy company praised Maine’s renewable energy efforts and steps toward fighting climate change during a trip to Portland.

Mary Powell, CEO of Sunrun, a San Francisco-based multibillion-dollar clean energy company, said that Gov. Janet Mills’ climate goals are…

Maine Public - Big batteries are quickly becoming part of Maine's electric grid

Why am I not surprised that this article doesn't touch upon any of the negatives associated with batteries on the grid. Maybe start with what all these new batteries, including all of those in EV's, will do in terms of damaging the environment. Maybe tell me how much it costs and compare that to all the alternatives. Puff pieces are an important part of brainwashing. Me? I do NOT accept the inevitability of an all electric future and am very sick and tired of how one sided are the…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/

Hannah Pingree on the Maine expedited wind law

Hannah Pingree - Director of Maine's Office of Innovation and the Future

"Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine."
