It looks as though living the alternative energy EV dream is coming with higher costs...at least, that's what's being reported on the ground in Munich.
Germany's "messy transition to renewable energies" is resulting in an unpleasant surprise for EV owners at charging stations, energy-focused German blog …Continue

Based on the plan of eliminating fossil fuel plants (they emit CO2 and particulates) and nuclear fuel plants (they are alleged to be dangerous) by 2050, the existing gas, nuclear, coal and oil generating plants would be decommissioned and no new ones would be built.
This would require huge build-outs of wind, solar, and storage systems, and increased electricity supply via external ties to adjacent grids.
There is no way one can close down nuclear, oil, gas…Continue

VT-Department of Public Service found, after a survey of 77 HPs installed in 65 Vermont buildings:
- The annual energy cost savings were, on average, $200/y, but the annual maintenance, and annual amortizing costs (at 3.5%/y for 15 years) would turn that gain into a loss of at least $200/y.
- On average, the HPs provided 27.6% of the annual space heat, and traditional fuels provided 72.4%. These numbers are directly from the survey data. The small percentage…Continue

PRICE SHOCK: MERCEDES HYBRID DRIVER STUNNED AFTER LEARNING NEW REPLACEMENT BATTERY COSTS MORE THAN VALUE OF CAR
By P Gosselin on 11. February 2022
Electric cars have a host of technical disadvantages associated with them, among them: range, weight, a general lack of charging infrastructure and the huge demand for materials to build their batteries.
Energy Secretary Granholm says solar panels may bring about world peace
Wow! That is amazing. Solar the Savior!
Solar, the Savior
Solar is very expensive on an “all-in” cost basis, shows up around midday, disturbs the grid, so the other electricity generators have to ramp up and down their outputs, to allow this short-time intruder onto the grid. After that disturbance, peace and quiet is restored to the grid, until the…Continue
