What is Going on at the Maine PUC?
- The New England Aqua Ventus Project hasn't gone away. New filings with the PUC, (Case # 2022-00100) now presented by Pine Tree Offshore Wind LLC (PTOW), includes a term sheet that the public cannot see because the PUC and PTOW have a confidentiality agreement. Nonetheless PTOW is preparing a final term sheet to be filed with the PUC for secret approval by March 2025.

They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation.
