AUGUSTA, Maine — Central Maine Power is urging customers to be wary of door-to-door energy sales people who may be misrepresenting themselves as CMP employees.
According to CMP, the company has been receiving many customer complaints about the supplier’s salespeople misrepresenting themselves as working for, or on behalf of CMP, demanding to see copies of customers’ CMP bills, and for providing false and misleading information about energy prices.

Shifting wind patterns in the Western US are making it hard for the wind producers to take advantage of the PTC. The grids are being forced to go to other more reliable fuels.

His weekly radio address is telling the facts of the failed energy policy of the last forty years here in Maine. Why is it so hard for the legislature to vote for the good of the State and the people? It is the lies they have been fed for all that time.

Rarely does a journalist search out the facts about wind projects that deliver adverse impacts but no benefits. It would be great if there were more like Christine Morabito, brave enough to report the facts. Crony environmentalism behind Big Wind delivers benefits to carpet baggers and rent seekers feeding from the public trough. It's vindicating to read the truth about wind ME media is loathe to report.

Wind Development is up a huge amount this year from last, and the boom has to be done quickly as the PTC will expire at the end of next year. I can only hope that we will get it stopped at that point, or we will be supporting overseas companies to our detriment. …

Our old friend George Smith has published again. He is touting the Warming Headlines and the non-scientists. The people he thinks are great are the financial people who are raking in money hand over fist on the backs of the common citizen and ratepayer. He is part of the problem why business is deserting Maine and leaving it to the devastating Wind Machines which will eventually drive the tourist trade from our borders.…

The BDN published an op ed today that is worth reading. I heard the interview with Gov. LePage on the radio and am firmly in his corner over what has to happen in Maine. Businesses are exiting the state in record numbers because of the high prices of electricity. As he said at the end of the interview about our legislators, “Many of them will ignore it until the last company [in Maine] turns the lights…

Number Nine is out bribing the County to get the permits through for the biggest industrial wind facility in the New England market. It will despoil the hills of the County and send all the power to Connecticut, again using Maine when she really does not need the help. There will be fewer than 10 permanent jobs created and thousands of citizens lives and pocketbooks disrupted. I hope Aroostook County can see through the ruse. …

The 2016 budget calls for an end to coal fired electricity and substituting instead Wind and Solar. This is an extremely expensive way to provide needed capacity and makes electricity extremely expensive for both business and households. Even the EPA says this will not help the CO2 levels in any way, only cause more jobs to be sent overseas and to states where nuclear and hydro keep the price of electricity down. Even Gas is a better alternative to renewables. Read…

Maine's Initial Federal Requirement, 313MWh per 1,138 GWh use
Notice below how Connecticut has managed to stay White in this Progression over time yet they have the highest requirement to produce. Maine Exceeded its Federal obligations in 2011.

I find this strange, that if wind is so green, that Hawaii emits 1.9lb of CO² per kWh delivered to their customers, with Texas at 1.8lb. The two highest wind producers/users yet they burn a lower percentage of fossil fuels. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yz2BdmzJgFRGsZmPngbMMn6Z-u10B28D3MgjlXL3nE0/pubhtml

An erstwhile wind warrior grabbed his camera this week and sent in these sad photos of the Oakfield Wind project, still under construction, but with enough turbines up so the impact is clear. First Wind bamboozled the Town of Oakfield with a so-called collaboration with a poor town that was eager for tax revenues and landowners eager to get leasing income. Again, First Wind laughs all the way to the bank, having taken over the town at a cheap, rock-bottom price. Then DEP Commissioner Aho…

Here is a news release from NREL regarding replacement of coal fired electrical energy - Someone is smokin' something at NREL!! Or the Obama administration has resorted to ordering agency heads to support his climate agenda. And of course they will do it - because once he is gone they will never ever ever have a position like the one they have today! And once they are gone the fraud will be exposed!…

One of the facts about wind production here in Maine is that it is inconsistent and not suitable for inclusion in a grid that is perfectly designed for gas, hydro or biofuel production. We have known this and have spoken out about it for years. FERC is just now making a case for the problem.…

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
