I have been looking at cases lost and Amherst Island in Ontario is a big one. The people along the coast lost and the raptors and migrant birds that stop on this gateway lost, but Ontario Ministry of Environment seemed to care a great deal about the cement facility - where was the water going to come from? (the island has limited water resource). Where was the waste going to go? spills. Blasting. Even construction noise and vibration on historic stone walls. Road destruction. Tree trimming along routes of delivery and otherwise protecting roadside vegetation. Decommissing.
everthing except the human element. Understandable that all that may come under 'Town licensing authority.
But when Gamesa comes after New Bedford or many Cape towns and counties, it is not predictable

And a million lbs. of C02 just for the cement in each turbine pad. Whoever said turbines are green must have been kidding. I wish Earth First was a stronger presence in Maine. We need env. groups who are more than in name only.

The so called environmental groups who take blood money from wind developers are the worst of the worst. Did not First Wind fund the Orbeton Stream and Bald Mountain Pond projects? How about all the money TransCanada gave away so enviros would look the other way on Kibby.
