Electric Vehicles: Not a Panacea for the Gas Crunch

The elitists have ordained that we shall all drive EV's. But did anybody ask us? How much do you think our corrupt green politicians have spent on EV and renewable energy personal investments? Why do they wage war on fossil fuel but approve that we tear up the earth looking for the rare metals required to be "green"?

Drill ,Baby, Drill !

"Right now, the United States purchases 600,000 barrels of oil from Russia per day. Per day! That’s almost $1 billion flowing to Russia every 24 hours. President Joe Biden could stop it"

As Vladimir Putin escalates the war in Ukraine, the United States and the West seem to be running out of effective options. The Biden administration sent an early stash of lethal aid, but it appears to be wholly inadequate to mount an effective…

Biden's US Oil Embargo

President Biden made the right decision Tuesday in banning Russian oil and natural gas imports. Yet at the same time he declared full-steam ahead on his green energy “transition” that includes an assault on U.S. fossil fuels. The contradiction is maddening.

Banning Russian energy imports is fine as far as it goes, which isn’t very. The U.S. imports only 3% of its petroleum supply and less than 1% of coal from Russia. About 70% of Russian oil currently can’t find…

Environmentalists don’t want wind industry hub at Sears Island

by Abigail Curtis

Midcoast environmental groups want to keep the pressure on the state as they advocate against building a floating offshore wind assembly, manufacturing and launching facility on Sears Island.

Green Is Dead: EU Energy Roadmap Has Shifted From Decarbonization To Energy Security, Goldman Warns

Tuesday, Mar 08, 2022 - 12:05 PM

Reading toward the end of the Goldman oil upgrade note discussed previously (available to pro subs) we find what is arguably the most important information in the entire research report.

Discussing how the Russian invasion will…

PPH: Renewable energy best way to fight Putin

Where does one even begin to critique this highly prejudiced and dead wrong opinion?

An energy reality check (Ellsworth American letter)

March 4, 2022

Dear Editor:

To Mr. Hylan of Brooklin regarding my “homework” [“Some homework assignments,” Feb. 24]:

While readily apparent that my “hysterical” commentary struck a nerve with Mr. Hylan of Brooklin, I missed the “many inaccuracies” he alludes to in his rebuttal. The snow did cover the solar panels, the wind did stop and these alternative energy sources did not work, period. Will that be forever? I didn’t say that, as each of these fuels will play a role in…

The Interior Department’s Fraudulent Bald Eagle Numbers

America's green energy fraud has been going on for decades and as I have discovered, it never sleeps. While everybody's been watching the Putin show, our sleazy President and our open borders, international financial interests are still working their evil ways on Americans.

The wind industry with fraudulent research and imaginary population estimates, wants to increase green energy's bald eagle take in America. The previous…

Lisa Linowes: Windaction Group opposes Massachusetts removal of offshore wind price cap

In the 5 years from 2015 to 2019, Massachusetts ratepayers were billed over $4 billion in above market energy costs to support state-mandated renewable energy policies. Much of this higher cost has been shielded by persistently low natural gas prices, but this is changing quickly as the US enters a period of higher priced energy. Residential electricity prices in the Commonwealth are one…

Aroostook Assault - Con Ed subsidiary submits proposal for northern Maine transmission project

Maine Public | By Fred Bever

Published March 2, 2022 at 5:47 PM EST

A subsidiary of national energy company Con Edison Inc. is proposing a major new transmission line in northern Maine.

Con Ed is calling it the Maine Power Link. Plans call for a 1,200 megawatt, high-voltage alternating current transmission line that could connect to the regional grid and unlock the…

Germany Weighs Extending Nuclear Plants Lifespans In Major Russia-Inspired Reversal

Germany's energy systems analysts have known for at least a decade:

1) Wind and solar are troublesome actors on the grid

2) They are too expensive for any industrial economy

Solar is very expensive on an “all-in” cost basis, shows up around midday, disturbs the grid, so the other electricity generators have to ramp up and down their outputs, to allow this short-time intruder onto the grid. After that disturbance, peace and quiet is restored to the grid,…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
