Portland businesses support reactivating noise panel

Portland also has a highly restrictive ordinance governing wind turbine height that essentially bans industrial wind and its noise anywhere in the city. Now if only they would have some empathy for their northern Maine friends next time they go to the ballot box and stop voting for the criminals in the legislature.…

But numerous property owners have signed leases which will pay $15,000 per year for every turbine.....

In other words, these persons have made a decision to sell out their neighbors by putting their own welfare ahead of their neighbors' to a magnitude that will forever change the lives of their neighbors, harming their health, happiness, property values, etc.

So in this case the neighbors are fighting back which is the only thing to do when a neighbor and perhaps so called friend decides to sell you out. Don't let them tell you that you are interfering with their property…

Energy Density

Biomass plants operating in Maine are in trouble, at least that is what was heard by the EUT committee in Augusta yesterday.

At a cost of 8 cents to 10 cents per kilowatt-hour to produce electricity and revenue of 7.5 cents per kilowatt-hour, the bottom line is not good.
Of course, like any good renewable energy company, they came to Augusta for a bailout.
The corporate person who spoke to the committee revealed they received Renewable…

Climate change agenda has been the most expensive PR campaign in the history of the world

The climate change agenda has been the most expensive and extensive public relations campaign in the history of the world. Gallup has been polling on this issue for 25 years. Despite the herculean effort, fewer people are worried about climate change today than 25 years ago. Pew Research Center has repeatedly found that when given a list of concerns regarding the…

2 UPC Renewables transmission towers in Ilocos Norte bombed

Two transmission towers operated by wind farm developer UPC Renewables collapsed on Thursday night, following a large explosion, Pasuquin town mayor Peter Felix Aguinaldo said on Friday.

Residents in the mountainous village of Tadao, about 25 kilometers from Laoag City, reported hearing an unusual sound on Thursday evening and discovered the toppled facilities that transmit electricity produced by wind farms here.

Police said they received reports that bomb fragments were…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/

Hannah Pingree on the Maine expedited wind law

Hannah Pingree - Director of Maine's Office of Innovation and the Future

"Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion.
