New England Power Market: Warnings Aplenty (blackouts, energy poverty too)

By  --

“Although many may think the New England region is immune to an energy crisis past summer, winter peak demand is the issue.”

“New Englanders are largely unaware that the light at the end of the clean energy transition tunnel is not a train, it’s a blackout.”

The 15 best reasons to vote Democrat

Democrats believe in 1) crime riddled communities, 2) rigging elections, 3) one-sided justice (tyranny), 4) routinely rigging scientific studies that relate to climate change, 5) using mandates against the people, 6) weaponizing agencies, 7) rigging markets, 8) destroying liberties, 9) censoring free speech, 10) protecting criminals because it leaves more money for them, 11) lying their asses off about nearly everything except their birth names, 12) secretly…

Vote Like Your Energy Future Depends on It.

  •               Cheap energy is historically man's best approach to sheltering from changing weather. Cheap energy depended on a competitive market structure, a level playing field where the best performing, least cost energy resources advanced to utilization.

  •            The current situation favors nuclear power for baseload power or power that consistently performs 24 hours, 365 days a year.

The Green Farce..."Renewable Unreliables" Don't Work, You Cannot Defy Dense Energy Sources Defined by the Laws of Thermodynamics

Dense Energy Sources Such as Fossil Fuels and Nuclear Created Modernity.

A new paper from the Global Warming Policy Foundation shows that the European electricity grid is hurtling towards disaster, with its constituent nations closing reliable nuclear and fossil-fuelled power stations and hoping that interconnectors will make up the deficit.

Renewable Energy Obsession Leading to Energy Rationing!

[Editor’s Note: Renewable energy being compulsively imposed on us by corporatists, ideologues and special interests without concern for impacts is yielding energy rationing.]

Whether it’s a hot Colorado summer or a cold United Kingdom winter, the misery of “green” policies becomes an everyday reality as hapless consumers are denied access to energy. When state lawmakers and energy providers…

For Some, Who Will Vote for Democrats

Governor Mills explains her new motto. "Let's Do It" Let's grab, coerce, welcome as much money the feds will print for us. Let's dole out that money to our favorite donors and government programs and when the people's houses get cold, we will beg the feds to print a meager amount of additional money to buy oil.

Let's Do It. "Disregard the inflationary results of accepting printed…

People in camouflage suits with guns are coming in.....the drugs, the fentanyl, the sex slave market.....Joe Biden is just letting it happen. They are basically in bed with the cartels - that's what the ranchers and sheriffs believe, and they are getting no help. The fact of the matter is they want to flood the nation with illegals so that they can vote......Breaking yesterday, the Judiciary Committee of the United States House of Representatives passed legislation out of the committee that…

How a 100-turbine wind farm is about to change Newport County's oceanfront views (Rhode Island)

Zane Wolfang

September 19, 2022

Within five years, Rhode Island’s horizon will be unmistakably altered to any beachgoer, fisherman or waterfront homeowner gazing out to sea, and the coastal Atlantic from Martha’s Vineyard to Long Island will be dotted with wind turbines arranged in orderly grids like trees in an orchard.

They will…

Maine wind training program is struggling to attract students

"I think if you look at the interest in wind, wind power, I think people are still skeptical that that has a bright future," says NMCC President Tim Crowley. The state's changing political landscape, he says, also may have affected interest in the program.

Some industry observers say interest has shifted toward solar. And Jeremy Payne, executive director of the Maine Renewable Energy Association, says…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
