Official Notification: Falmouth Massachusetts Wind Turbine Demolition Notice
"you are hereby notified that Wind 1, the southeastern of the two turbines, is scheduled to be felled in the week of Monday, September 26th and that Wind 2 is scheduled to be felled in the week of Monday, October 3rd. Those not involved in turbine demolition must stay off the 154 Blacksmith Shop Road property during the felling".
Massachusetts Superior Court in June of 2017 ordered the Town of Falmouth, Massachusetts to shut down two town-owned land-based wind turbines.
The shutdowns and now demolition marks the first time in United States history the courts have shut down municipal wind turbines.
The neighbors describe the noise as torture from lack of sleep and unable to work outdoors during the daytime.
The neighbors complain the turbines get to be jet-engine loud. These people suffer headaches, dizziness, and sleep deprivation and often seek to escape the property where they've lived for more than 25 years.
The Town of Falmouth has lost tens of millions of dollars on the two town-owned wind turbines and the abutters have lost their entire life savings.
There were up to eleven lawsuits and multiple appeals. The turbines generate 110 decibels of noise and were installed without permits.
The Town of Falmouth is now considering placing offshore high voltage direct current cables through residential locations.
Time to stop the insanity?
