The Vermont Comprehensive Energy Plan (CEP) states biomass and bio liquids are projected to increase by 20% by 2025, on the way to doubling wood’s share of building heat by 2035. That wood share increase likely would not be obtained by increasing Vermont’s harvest, because Vermont is already harvesting in excess of US Forest service guidelines.
