ISO-NE is boosting the proposal that we need more improvements to our transmission grid.  Maine has an existing grid that will sustain us for the next thirty years.  We don't expect population growth, certainly can't predict business growth and we produce more electricity, (cleaner than all but one other state in the union) than we use, even on our worst day.  All the devastation done to Maine is for those other states surrounding us.  It is time we speak for ourselves.

Chris O'Neil from Friends of Maine's Mountains Makes an impassioned and fact driven expose' of what happened to ISO-NE on Sept 8th.  Our wind farms failed to produce when they were called on during a peak period that lasted most of the day.  Prices went from $30 per MWH to nearly $1,000 per MWH during that period.  So much for "Free" Wind.…
