Apparently wide distribution planned for Bingham Wind!!!

Sun Edison lost $283 million last year and just sold back a company it bought only in July - So that company can file for bankruptcy on its own! Will it do the same First Wind Who had $648 million in cumulative losses when Son Edison bought them? This is all just another Enronesque house of cards - and no surprise!
And as for that $2.75 announcement and PR stunt pulled a couple of weeks ago - Dan McKay you are correct - Promises promises - a real wimpy move!…

Ready for a blood boil? The corruption and influence of special interests in 2013 (very recent) control the things that get done in Maine. This is proof that our legislators are looking out for themselves and their pocketbooks, not ours. They are ruining Maine, the economy, jobs, the environment, energy and businesses for their own enrichment. This has got to stop, I don't know how, but it has to stop.…

Please see the question from Kathy Sherman below.
This financial free-faller somehow recently found $2.75 million to try and buy off Mainers yet they are almost universally despised in Maine, the state where I believe most of their U.S. current and planned wind business is…

This would be a big step toward making it impossible for wind companies to erect and operate turbines in the future. Let's see if it can get passed. Lankford is from Oklahoma where there is already Wind installed.…

And the plot gets thicker for wind developers in Vermont : the people are raising their voices in opposition to projects , GMP ( Green Mountain Power ) say : we have enough wind for the moment , a law was passed at the last Legislature session increasing the need for renewables , and the Public Service Board goes on permitting projects for the sake of the "Public Good" ( which they never define except with some pictures of the 2006 BP oil spill ) ........this conundrum is the symbol of a…

Wind Turbine Noise: What you can't hear can harm you.
What do you think of when you think of an industrial wind project? Wind developers want you to think of free, green electricity. People who live near industrial wind turbines think of noise. Let's see why.
An Industrial Wind project in Swanton proposes to install seven 499-foot tall wind turbines along 6,000 feet of Rocky Ridge (elevation 323 feet). We recently learned that the developer of this proposed project plans…

UPC First Wind (bought by SunEdison) business history is a great indicator of their future performance.

Kurt Adams, a former head of the Maine Public Utilities Commission, is leaving his job as chief development officer at wind developer SunEdison to become chief executive of Summit Utilities, Summit has announced.
.......Adams who chaired the PUC from 2005 to 2008, was previously chief development officer at First Wind, which was acquired last year by a SunEdison subsidiary. First Wind/SunEdison are the largest wind developers in…

It has been a long way up and quick ride down for SunEdison but bad news keeps piling up for the hedge fund hotel even as it dead-cat-bounces again. As the stock bounces, just as it bounced in September after Steve Cohen's Point72 exposed their stake and JPM jumped to the rescue, uncertainty remains extreme. Amid a surge in debt and increasingly negative…

Very briefly, environmentalists, primarily bird conservation groups have expanded the 1918 migratory bird law which makes it illegal to "pursue, hunt, take, capture [or] kill" any of more than 1,000 covered bird species, but courts have disagreed over whether such actions need to be intentional.
They have argued that oil spills, fracking and numerous other harmful impacts on bird populations must be punished, regardless of the original intent to halt…

Layoffs at SunEdison as Investors Question the Renewable Energy Developer’s Strategy
Why is a company that has to lay off so many of its workers giving so much money away to so called environmental groups in Maine?
It started off as a normal gathering. People mingled at multiple bars. A house band played on a small stage upstairs. Waiters handed out meat on sticks.
Suddenly, all the…

Vermont is on the move ...to common sense . I listened to Blittersdorf at the Addison county Democrats meeting a month ago,. He does not believe in adverse health effects of noise and gets angry when confronted with the power of MRI imaging to demonstrate brain responses when humans are exposed to very low frequencies (8 Herz). He calls people anti wind zealots when proper questions regarding emissions saving and definition of Public Good are sent to him. He wants 3000 MW of wind for…

Blatant Unrepentant Liars
I recently sold a property 2.2 miles from a wind project at 1/2 its accessed evaluation( and I was lucky to sell it at all)
Anyone who believes First Wind/SunEdison / Terraform Power is "nummah than a hake" or a past patient of a frontal lobotomy. Remember this too , infra sound (low frequency noise emitted by these massive feckless turbines) is heard and annoying up to 2.5 miles by many people. Those within 4000 feet (the golden distance for litigation…

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
