The CEO of Sun Edison, our friends with dubious dollars, and even more dubious credibility, say losing the PTC will not hurt them at all. HAH!

Maine is #1 in CO2 reduction over the last decade and a half, and we have almost no production from wind. It just looks like a lot. The billions that have been spent on towers, turbines and grid updates have little or no effect on the CO2 level, even though measuring the CO2 level is something that is dubious at best. Wind can hardly take credit for this noteworthy award.…

The Boston Globe is touting all the wind energy they can get from wind farms in Northern Maine to replace the huge amount of energy they are going to lose from Pilgrim Nuke. The only problem is the out of date grid. Here is a proposition - Southern New Englanders pay for those upgrades to OUR grid because we don't need those upgrades. Better yet, have them pay for hydro projects that will produce meaningful energy and travel on existing grid lines. Why should we be stuck for the bills of…

It was never about global warming. Global warming simply provided cover for developers, corrupt politicians and so called environmental groups to line their pockets. The mainstream media know this, but most are part of the problem.

It appears that at least two persons involved with SunEdison (which acquired First Wind) were with Kenetech, a wind company that set aside $300,000 in "mitigation" for so called Maine environmental groups in the 1990's. The two persons are Michael U. Alvarez, SVP Global Operations of SunEdison and Mark Lerdal, Independent Director of TerraForm Power, a SunEdison affiliate.
Apparently both of these fellows worked for Kenetech. Appearing below (in a blue font) is an excerpt from…

Having sat through one too many student statistical presentations, I recently noticed a striking ''correlation''.
There is nearly a perfect alignment to the traditional global warming hockey stick. Therefore, I suggest that the current apparent rise in global temperature referred to as the hockey stick is a…

Angus King , a man with a vision , passed the first RPS law in the nation in 1999 !!!
Maine was the greenest state in N.E.
The law was improved in 2012 , then gave birth to the Expedited law in February 2008 , just 6 months before, King had started Record HiLL Wind LLC and put on his " the sky is falling , Maine will collapse by 2020 if we do not jump on the Renewable wagon " dog and pony show on the road and in the media and academic circles " .....gas prices…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT
******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********
(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
