Delingpole: Climate Mafia Caught Tampering With Evidence Again…

They are at it again. They have found a new reason to manipulate the dataset for their bogus AGW Climate Models.

“Correcting for problems caused by the decaying of satellites.” Yup. We’ve all been there haven’t we? One minute you’re heading innocently down Highway One to look at the cute sea otters, the…

More of Our Money to the Elite!

Well it seems that Tesla has a dilemma. The $7,500 Production Tax Credit for those buying Tesla vehicles starts to expire when the manufacturing numbers reach 200,000 for any manufacturers. Doesn't sound like a problem since they are only STARTING to make the Model 3 this Friday, and will have 30 by the end of the month, another 100 by the end of August and 1,500 by the end of September. They do believe they will hit the 200,000 mark in the middle of next year counting ALL the models they…

Wind In Maine: Facts and Fiction

Our friend Jeremy Paine has come out with the latest PDF on what wind did in Maine last year. Of course the numbers are in nameplate levels, and the rest of the numbers probably bear close scrutiny.

One of the savings they touted was the lack of use of WATER! That's right WATER as in hydro power. ????? Does that seem a little questionable? Last time I looked at a dam that was making electricity using WATER, it was coming out the other side the same as it went in. Maybe they meant the…

Maine Not the Only State Being Lied to About Floating Offshore Wind

As long as "free money" is there for the taking, we will keep seeing articles like this one. The problem is that free money is confiscated from taxpayers and ratepayers. As soon as free money disappears, we will no longer see these articles.

Floating Wind Plan Could Finally Crack California’s Offshore Market

...............To date, only a handful of small floating wind projects have…

EDPR, Maine utilities reach terms on wind transmission line

The focus of the agreements is EDPR’s use of a portion of a key transmission corridor known as the Bridal Path, between Houlton and Haynesville in Aroostook County, Maine. Under the agreements, Emera Maine and CMP are providing EDPR with an option to purchase a portion of the Bridal Path corridor to develop a new transmission line, with Emera Maine and CMP having buy-back rights to purchase EDPR’s development in the corridor. The project is being advanced as part of the transmission…

Sure am Glad We Are Out From Under The UN Thumb

The march toward a new world order where we would be controlled by the UN has come to an end and NOTHING makes me happier. One of the nations that is in the EU, however, Malta, is faced with stiff penalties if they don't meet their goals for solar power. They are a very small island that has a limited amount of land available for renewable energy. They are VERY sunny, however they are also the densest…

Upstate NY residents are Fighting The Same Battle We Are: Two divergently different LTE's

Residents of Hopkinton, NY are facing the same antagonists we here in Maine are facing. A letter to the editor in their local paper and a reply to it are very interesting to read. I'm not sure where all the PRO facts came from, but the answer to it was spot on.

The first letter:…

Our Rate Subsidies and Tax Sucking Policies At Work: Electricity market: Pricing change can mean free power

About eight years ago ISO NE developed a scheme to allow a few large customers to buy their power directly from the grid based on prevailing rates on an hour by hour basis. During periods of low usage in Spring and Fall, these customers can "buy" power at $0 or even get a credit. This is made possible because ISO NE is MANDATED to energy from wind and solar generators and ask the reliable base load producers to reduce their input. At that point, the wind and solar…

As Beijing Joins Climate Fight, Chinese Companies Build Coal Plants

We hear from the trolls in the comment sections of the PPH, BDN and other papers all the time about how China is beating us now by cancelling new coal plants. The number thrown around is between 100 and 108 cancellations. But a pretty reliable source, at least with the leftists, The New York Times, (All The News That Fits The Print) is saying that that information is inaccurate . . . . in fact REAL inaccurate. While they may have mothballed 108, they are currently building or have in the…

Mass, NY and RI Are Putting A Stop To The Pipeline That Would Bring Supplies of Natural Gas To Maine. Isn't It Time We Tell Them We Won't Send Them "Clean" Wind Power From Our Mountains?

It is my humble opinion that we as Mainers have an obligation to tell the states south of us that if they want Wind and Solar, build it in their own back yard at their expense if they won't provide us with the supply of natural gas we so desperately need to convert our heating systems from oil to gas. We, as a rural state, should not be expected to give up our pristine environment, raise our electricity rates and impoverish our communities for them.

This is pure uneconomic and…

Rural America doesn’t want to become America’s power plant

Donald Trump was in Iowa recently, and issued a Trumpism critical of wind power.  The media jumped on its propaganda pony to point out that Iowa loves wind, and gets 36.6% of its energy from wind.  The story was that Trump was a lone critical voice and that Iowans are happy to reap wind profits and jobs and nobody minds becoming America’s power house.  That’s just not true, according to the op ed.  There is serious resistance to industrial wind in Iowa and other rural states.  I already know…

A Strange Dichotomy!!! Officials question climate change while praising carbon cuts

The Administration is taking a kind of unusual approach to the Climate Change issue and CO2 emissions, and I happen to think it is a good one. It is what I have been saying all along, that CO2 does NOT seem to be the driver of Climate Change, but cutting it is not a BAD thing. Over the last 20 years, we have done exactly that, and we don't intend to change horses mid stream now. But the question is, what economically produced power can we rely on for the next 100 years? That is what the EPA…

China Putting Us To Shame?? Fake Energy News That Just Keeps On Being Published. Criminal!

Again, our President is being targeted for his withdrawal from the Paris Accord by touting how the Chinese are beating us in cutting CO2 emissions and making the world cleaner. They are telling us that in one region, FIVE million people lived off wind, solar and hydro power for seven whole days. Wind and solar made up 20% of it and hydro the rest. 5 million people out of a population of 1.4 BILLION. What an unbelievable achievement!

China has not made any progress in cutting their…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
