Get ready for the Handcuffs and Perp Walk. Our Gub'ment is at it again!!!

Climate Deniers are now in the crosshairs.  A Democrat California State Senator is proposing that the RICO Statutes be used against anyone promoting climate change denial and the statute of limitations would be extended to 30 years.  That, my friends, is is another nail in the coffin of free speech brought to you by our ever expanding Progressive friends and the Gestapo tactics they use.  This is serious folks, not just for our involvement in the Wind industry, but for our right to criticize…

I Wonder If We Can Overcome This Giant Polluter With Wind Turbines?

A volcano in Alaska erupted this weekend causing a plume of ash and gas up to 20,000 feet in the air.  It is interesting that it has done this almost 40 times in the last two years.  The amount of ash and gas spewed has to be far more than we can save with 200 or 300 turbines here in Maine.  Ironic, HUH?…

In Spite of the Promises of 2008, We Are Not Ready for Massive Wind and Solar in Maine or Anywhere Else

California, which is far more advanced than we are here in the backwoods of Maine, is trying to find a way to keep their grid from crashing as they fund more and more Wind and Solar facilities.  Their experts relate that it will cost BILLIONS to make the grid stable enough for renewable power and that cost will be handed over to the ratepayers.  That folks is you and me.  More traditional power generators don't need the massive upgrades, as their power is stable and constant.  In most cases…

If They Can Do Away With Wind In The Desert, Why Can’t We Do It Here In Maine?

If They Can Do Away With Wind In The Desert, Why Can’t We Do It Here In Maine?

The Federal Courts just shot down a huge development of 87 wind turbines in the desert of Nevada because the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) had inconsistencies in their reporting of endangered species and impact to the environment the project would do.  I have been to the area around Lake Mead where this project was to have been built, and it is basically a wasteland compared…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
