NASA has made a dire prediction we are doomed. Kind of sounds like Global Warming, huh? Looks like another fear mongered government boondoggle to go spend a lot of unneeded dollars on.

Two Letters today on having Senator Collins fight the battle for Trump's appointments to EPA, Energy and Secy of State. I'm not sure she really has to be told that, as she votes with the Dems alot. Just waiting to see if they post my Letter about killing Eagles. They have not even referenced that regulation was signed. Anyone taking bets?…

New rules by the EPA and Fish and Wildlife have allowed wind farms to kill birds for the next 30 years. "The new rule will conserve eagles while also spurring development of a pollution-free energy source intended to ease global warming, a cornerstone of President Barack Obama’s energy plan, said Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe." How exactly does that…

The Pyle memo also says that the Trump administration will look at the environmental effects of wind energy, which means restricting wind power because of its effects on birds and wildlife.

Are Left Wing Foundations The Real Editors of Our Newspapers These Days?
Left-Wing Non-Profits Paying Big Grants to Newspapers for 'News Gathering'
"There is no doubt that journalism has fallen on tough times in this electronic era. Newspapers have been shutting down by the dozens and those that are left are shedding jobs, cutting salaries, eliminating benefits, and, consequently, covering fewer and fewer…

Deepwater Wind has started operation of its five turbine 30 MW installation off the coast of Block Island. As I read the article, I noticed they are selling the power to the installer of the 20 mile underwater cable, National Grid, for 24 cents a kwh to go up 3.5% annually for 20 years. Anyone out there think this is a good price? I think our Emera prices are in the 6-8 cents kwh right now, at least according to my bill. At a rate of increase for 20…

The outcome of local, state and national voting signaled a vote of no confidence in the growth of utility-scale wind power in the Green Mountain State......
Unimpressed by the 2016 Vermont Legislature's conditional gift of slightly more say in the energy siting process, municipalities are now bypassing Montpelier. If this trend of "permission by referendum" continues, towns will have carved out a local veto power for themselves over ridgeline wind development. A new precedent is being…

While tornadoes were found to have taken down three transmission lines ahead of the blackout, the report suggests the system could have continued operating.
Instead it was the loss of power from the state’s wind farms that is thought to be one of the primary causes of the event.
The AEMO said a protection feature built-in to some wind farms, which the agency was not aware of before the blackout, caused some of them to reduce their output after a certain number of voltage…

Maine is an incredibly beautiful state. The views from Rumford Whitecap, which has a sub-alpine ecosystem at one of the lowest altitudes in Maine, are incredible. From Rumford Whitecap, the summit of which was protected by The Mahoosuc Land Trust, the view is marred by the Record Hill Wind project, seen here, as well as Spruce Mt. Wind in Woodstock and Saddleback Ridge Wind in Carthage.
We must stop the ravaging of Maine's natural and scenic resources by the wind industry. It is long…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT
******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********
(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
