UNILATERAL, REGRESSIVE CARBON TAXES A HEADWIND FOR THE VERMONT ECONOMY

A wise person would advocate putting the horse before the car, i.e., first use less energy, then build-out the much lesser capacity systems needed for the energy still being used. This is so simple. Most people get it, but most pro-carbon tax folks do not.

Pro-carbon tax folks want to have the unilateral carbon tax now, so the state government would set up various programs, and folks would have to go through various hurdles to qualify to get some of their money back; most…

Lisa Linowes: U.S. Tax Priorities Sack Big Wind

Said bluntly, Main Street Americans are coughing up billions annually to help the richest Wall Street bankers avoid paying their taxes. The Senate tax bill that passed this weekend could spell an end to this massive wealth-transfer program.

I did not see the ongoing wind industry eagle slaughter mentioned in the trailer or synopsis. Renewable energy Tax credits are helping to pay for this destruction

Renewable energy providers have given themselves a righteous green name in the media but it is all a disgusting fraud on the people. It is also a disgusting fraud on taxpayers funding and giving tax credits for an incredible destruction taking place to this world.

Look at these images 30 years apart taken from Northern CA. Students will not see or learn about this destruction in college, but you can. You are seeing the results of the over harvesting of our forests and Biomass energy…

Tax Bill Impact: What Happens to Renewable Energy?

The Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT) provision would subject tax credits given to companies with operations overseas to a new, 100 percent tax. ...........The Senate voted early Saturday to approve a major overhaul of the U.S. tax code that critics say would decimate clean energy investments ...............................Larger challenges for clean energy lie in the House of Representatives' tax proposal, which passed in mid-November. That version takes a whack at a bundle of clean…

LA Times Relating Their Drought To Arctic Sea Ice Melt

More alarmism from LaLa Land.

California just went through a drought that lasted several years, but this summer came out of it and water supplies are in pretty good shape for now. Summer Arctic ice has been plentiful for the last several years, and this summer several expeditions were turned back because the ice did NOT melt. It has been that way for quite some time. California's water woes have been caused by more…

Climate Scientists Account for Volcanoes, Change Models Drastically

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.” That quote was made popular by Mark Twain over a century ago, but it’s just as applicable today… especially when talking about “climate change.”

If you listen to climate alarmists, the statistics say the world is warming at an unprecedented rate, and it’s all the fault of humans.

However, a new study by University of Alabama-Huntsville climate scientists found that studies used…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
