HUMOR:
Having sat through one too many student statistical presentations, I recently noticed a striking ''correlation''.
There is nearly a perfect alignment to the traditional global warming hockey stick. Therefore, I suggest that the current apparent rise in global temperature referred to as the hockey stick is a…

Angus King , a man with a vision , passed the first RPS law in the nation in 1999 !!!
Maine was the greenest state in N.E.
The law was improved in 2012 , then gave birth to the Expedited law in February 2008 , just 6 months before, King had started Record HiLL Wind LLC and put on his " the sky is falling , Maine will collapse by 2020 if we do not jump on the Renewable wagon " dog and pony show on the road and in the media and academic circles " .....gas prices…

Looks like the PSB is applying Rule Number 8 from Saul Alinsky .....renewables in Vermont not really about global warming .....it is about jobs , stable electricity prices , stable economy . ...

Energy Office Director writes a letter which seemingly endorses EDPR's project because it gives $2 million to help Aroostook County with their heating bills. Quite frankly, for a project of this size -- the largest in the state, $2 million is nothing. It thus seems like nothing more than a FACE SAVING MEASURE so that the Governor's Energy Office can break policy which includes opposing wind because …

Congress still has the PTC up in the air between the House and Senate for this year. It is still not to late to mount a letter writing campaign to our Senators and Congressmen and let them know the truth about wind. It might also help to get some editorials and Letters to the Editor in the local press. We have to let these people know the truth.…

These scam artists are so vile that they not only steal from the taxpayers as a whole, but from individual investors, old people and their retirement accounts. How is it that they can make such a losing proposition sound like such a bed of roses.…

Kurt Adams, SunEdison’s senior vice president and a guy I have known and admired for many years, explained, “We have deep roots in Maine, many of us live here and we value the state as a special place that is worthy of protection.” Kurt said SunEdison’s folks “are excited” to be working with conservation and environmental groups “to preserve the state’s open…

This is what will be playing soon at the Bingham project. Hundreds of bald eagles and untold thousands of other highly protected species will be killed by this project. But you will not hear about it from the Green Nazi's.

A PPH Editorial tries to make the FMM/SunEdison deal sound like a plus for both and a good compromise. It is like putting lipstick on a pig! I really think Sun Ed got the best of the deal and made FMM look like they had to buckle. I only hope it may slow things down a bit. Of course the biggest brakes that could be applied would be an end to the tax subsidies.…

The following is a copy of am email from DEP regarding the Bingham/FMM settlement:
Mark Bergeron asked that I respond to your inquiry. The agreement made between Friends of Maine’s Mountains and SunEdison is between those two parties. The Department does not have any role in the deal that the two parties reached.
The Department Order requires that Blue Sky West, LLC provide decommissioning funds in the amount of at least…

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********
(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
