WINDLASH: Entire states now restricting or rejecting wind projects

July 18, 2017 by Robert Bryce

The backlash is so fierce that Big Wind has begun suing small towns to force them to accept wind projects. ......The rural resistance to the land-devouring, subsidy-fueled sprawl of Big Wind doesn’t fit the narrative – endlessly repeated by the Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council, Greenpeace and their myriad allies in the liberal media — that wind energy is “green.” Nevertheless, the numbers tell the tale. Since 2015, about 170 government…

TESLA POWERWALL 2.0 FOR ENERGY STORAGE AND DEMAND REDUCTION

Tesla markets a wall-hung, nominal 14 kWh, available 13.5 kWh, Powerwall 2.0 battery unit, with lithium-ion cells made by Panasonic, either in Japan or Nevada. The unit is designed for daily charging and discharging.

Battery system turnkey capital cost = $6,200, factory FOB + S & H + Contractor markup of about 10 percent + Misc. hardware + Installation by 2 electricians, say 16 hours @ $60/h = $8,200, or $586/kWh.

This is a Tesla estimate, which…

25% windmill mandate on all Calif. Farms along with solar mandate n housing!

As business and workers leave the welfare state isn't going to get a little crazy for those that stay including raptors. With Sacramento new mandate for windmills all raptors will see decrease in population density in the name of the religion of renewables. Livermore's Altamont Pass windmill's was the raptors Waterloo. This should be a lesson for Audubon and ABC bird groups and they get the blame for not helping stop it now open the fluid gates!… Continue

Tourism and Property Values: Maryland Bans Wind Turbines Within 24 Miles of Shore

Maine needs to wake up and do the same for both lake and ocean shores and all of the interior views which are the foundation for our tremendously vital tourism industry. If the so called representatives, so called environmental groups and media were not on the take, wind power in Maine would not have a chance.

The amendment restricts the use of federal funds to conduct a site assessment or construction and operation plans for wind turbines…

Tragic yet Kinda Funny: GreenFail: Taxpayers Foot $107K Bill for Wind Turbines That Don’t Work

The State of Washington is wasting more of the taxpayers money. In an effort to make a shoreside park more inviting to tourists, they chose the most RIDICULOUS draw they could. They installed three giant wind turbines that produce no power to speak of at great expense. Wait till they go to tear them down in a few years. LOL…

The Totalitarianism of the Environmentalists

For the past several years I have been proposing a very skeptical view of "Climate Science" as espoused by the IPCC, the Obama Administration, The EPA, The Democrats, the AEI, NOAA, NASA, and an alphabet list of agencies that have taken up the cloak. NOTICE:  All those in this list are GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED agencies, all with an agenda. Even the leaders at the IPCC have said point blank that the whole…

The Kremlin has secretly financed environmentalist groups across the globe

Russia’s Financial Support for Anti-Fracking Groups Is No Coincidence

July 21, 2017 4:00 AM @AUSTINYACK

Aware that fracking could devastate the Russian economy, the Kremlin has secretly financed environmentalist groups across the globe.

In 2014, after multiple European countries banned fracking following protests, NATO secretary general Fogh Anders Rasmussen warned that “Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation…

Windfarm among assets seized from Calabrian mafia suspects

The wind farm the Arena bastion of Isola di Capo Rizzuto in the province of Crotone and two other companies were impounded from Pasquale Arena on the orders of anti-mafia prosecutors in the Calabrian city of Catanzaro, finance police said.

The assets were initially seized in March from Arena and permanently confiscated on Monday after further investigations indicated they were mafia controlled, according to police.…

Tourists shun areas hit by wind turbine ‘blight’

A survey carried out on behalf of the John Muir Trust (JMT) found that 55% of respondents were “less likely” to venture into areas of the countryside industrialised by giant turbines, electricity pylons and super-quarries. ...The poll has rekindled calls for Scottish ministers to increase protection for wild and scenic areas that, it is argued, will protect rural tourism businesses.…

EPA proposal could impact local ethanol, biodiesel production

While this article does not exactly relate to our plight with industrial wind in Maine, I think it is indicative of the direction this administration is taking with regards to energy. The health bill got a "Cornhusker Bailout or Kickback" when it was passed, but they have been getting BILLIONS of dollars to produce corn for making ethanol to put into gasoline. In fact it is estimated that between the time it…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
