..................Blue states, on average, have much higher rates than Red states. What’s interesting is the gap between Red-state and Blue-state prices has widened over time, suggesting that the energy policies enacted by these states are driving up costs.
For example, in 2011, average all-sector electricity prices in Blue states were about 3.6 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) higher than in Red states, or 44 percent higher. By 2025, Blue state electricity prices were 6.33 cents per kWh…

UNCERTAINTIES !
"New England’s electric power grid is undergoing rapid change. Uncertainties related to the pace and scale of reductions in carbon emissions, growth in electricity demand, and increases in renewable resources and battery storage are just some of the variables that pose challenges now and into the future."

Is ISO-NE saying NESCOE holds all the responsibility and final decision for the $2.2 billion dollar upgrade that ISO-NE solicited bids for?
"NESCOE’s request is aimed at upgrading the transmission system between northern Maine, where land-based wind generation is expected to increase, and the more populous regions of southern New England, where demand for electricity is highest. The ISO completed its…

All the USA electricity maps show the same thing. California and all of New England have the highest electricity prices in the nation.
California operates under a separate quasi governmental network. New England operates under an independent system operator that services all 6 New England States.

With nothing new on the generator horizon to provide the power needs of data centers, ISO-NE is not feeling good about data center loads. Batteries are basically the only resources being offered through ISO-NE's long term generation outlook portal and noting that batteries are not new generation, in fact, batteries are an impediment to existing generation, ISO-NE had to address this rapidly developing situation and provide FERC (Federal Energy…

BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) dominates the request for connections to the New England grid according to ISO-NE data sheets.
What this means is hardly very little new generation is being offered. Batteries do not generate power. They suck power from the grid and return this power at 80% efficiency back to the grid, usually at peak hour prices.…

4 Months in a row, electricity generating prices have gone up over last year's monthly average as natural gas prices have fallen year over year.
All we hear from our politicians and climate alarmists is how natural gas prices are driving up the cost of electricity. Straight from the horse's mouth, ISO-NE, the data is exposed. The proganda about the evils of natural gas is…

When Central Maine Power collects money to pay Net Energy Billing-Solar Project Owners, they calculate the amount based on Maine State Policies that includes delivery charges paid to project owners. None of these projects deserve getting money for delivery. They are generators using CMP's distribution system to get rich off other people's money. …

Sometimes, ISO-NE decisions indicate a severe case of schizophrenia. Why would they propose a $2.2 billion dollar transmission line upgrade to allow a wind project to enter the New England Network when the wind project is not even in the ISO-NE territory. Shouldn't this project be delivering its energy to the Northern Maine Independent System Administered Network?

What they do not address is how AI proposals to businesses will drive up the need to increase the electricity consumption to increase business productivity.…
