Dudley G. Gray has not received any gifts yet
I recently received solicitation from Smart Energy Inc. for a six month trial using so-called renewable energy for my electricity supply. In exchange for my gullibility, ignorance and naivete, I would receive a $200 dollar visa gift card. Still being able to do sixth grade math from the great education I received at B. E Moore school in Ellsworth some 64 years ago I dug. out sixth months of CMP bills.
Usage-CMP supply only 3373 KWH X.1181…

Yesterday I watched the ignorant Sen. Stabenow pontificate about how she drove to DC passed many gas stations in her new EV. I had been in Farmington at Hannaford looking at the charging stations. An empty Prius was parked at the station whose price per KWH was.40 Plus a flat additional charge if you were hooked up for more than 20 minutes. The other. stations were all Teslas and seemed to indicate a price of .625 KWH My all in. rate at home (CMP). is .2331 KWH.
I would like some…

I mailed this to the following publications, The County, Piscataquis Observer,Fiddlehead Focus,The Irregular on 11/22.
Piscataquis,Somerset and Aroostook counties are in danger of becoming the new Clean Energy Connect for solar and wind development. Irrespective of the developments themselves just how many miles of transmission lines ,clear cuts, wildlife habitat will be destroyed but more importantly the entire unique character of the North Maine woods will be forever altered…

Governor Janet Mills and the legislature are heading towards expropriation of CMP (Avangrid) 145 mile transmission line from Hydro Quebec to Lewiston.
During a six hour stipulation hearing before the PUC not one intervenor asked the commissioners about this, yet the Governor had categorically stated on 03/01 "importantly, the stipulation creates a new special purpose entity (euphemism for State Owned Enterprise) not CMP to build and operate this transmission line".

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
