Obama was right when he told us he would stop the seas from rising during his first campaign. In spite of the fact that he failed to get the CO2 levels from continuing to rise and the world temperatures were level for his whole administration (The Pause), sea levels actually fell for the last two years. ??? Does any of this fit the IPCC or Globalst narrative?
NASA and satellites have just put a stick in the religious alarmism that is "Climate Change." It's worth a read. AlGore's new…Continue
Plymouth is celebrating a bid form CMP/Emera to run a line bringing 1,000 MW of Canadian wind and hydro power to Massachusetts using the connection at what will soon be the retired Pilgrim Nuclear plant. Pilgrim could probably go on for another 20 years, but they have experienced a few problems over the last several years, not major ones, and then there is always the issue of spent fuel rods. This beats the…Continue

From Our View in NJ, the people have spoken and told the wind farm planned off the coast of Atlantic City that a rate of 23¢ Kwh is not acceptable. Dong Energy operating in Europe seems to think they can deliver for under 10¢ with a massive offshore development and that will be the future. The problem is though, that the components are all from overseas and…Continue

The State of Washington is wasting more of the taxpayers money. In an effort to make a shoreside park more inviting to tourists, they chose the most RIDICULOUS draw they could. They installed three giant wind turbines that produce no power to speak of at great expense. Wait till they go to tear them down in a few years. LOL…Continue

For the past several years I have been proposing a very skeptical view of "Climate Science" as espoused by the IPCC, the Obama Administration, The EPA, The Democrats, the AEI, NOAA, NASA, and an alphabet list of agencies that have taken up the cloak. NOTICE: All those in this list are GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED agencies, all with an agenda. Even the leaders at the IPCC have said point blank that the whole…Continue
While this article does not exactly relate to our plight with industrial wind in Maine, I think it is indicative of the direction this administration is taking with regards to energy. The health bill got a "Cornhusker Bailout or Kickback" when it was passed, but they have been getting BILLIONS of dollars to produce corn for making ethanol to put into gasoline. In fact it is estimated that between the time it…Continue
From Environment Maine and Rob Sargent come this unbelievably lunacy driven rant about how Wind and solar can take over the total energy needs of our country. It's hard to believe these people really exist. The "facts" he throws around about how polluted our cities are and how the "potential" for utility scale solar especially is so great that we would be able to provide 100 times the energy we now…Continue
An expedition designed to gather evidence of global warming and “climate change” in the Arctic was canceled last month after a humiliating discovery was made: There was so much ice in the Arctic that the icebreaker it was going to use was needed elsewhere.
How positively ironic. The trip had been planned just…Continue
Our government (Obama) spent the last eight years denying our country has energy superiority in the world and trying to make sure we did everything to destroy it. Remember this quote? “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”
Fracking became a…Continue

Well it seems that Tesla has a dilemma. The $7,500 Production Tax Credit for those buying Tesla vehicles starts to expire when the manufacturing numbers reach 200,000 for any manufacturers. Doesn't sound like a problem since they are only STARTING to make the Model 3 this Friday, and will have 30 by the end of the month, another 100 by the end of August and 1,500 by the end of September. They do believe they will hit the 200,000 mark in the middle of next year counting ALL the models they…Continue

Our friend Jeremy Paine has come out with the latest PDF on what wind did in Maine last year. Of course the numbers are in nameplate levels, and the rest of the numbers probably bear close scrutiny.
One of the savings they touted was the lack of use of WATER! That's right WATER as in hydro power. ????? Does that seem a little questionable? Last time I looked at a dam that was making electricity using WATER, it was coming out the other side the same as it went in. Maybe they meant the…Continue
The march toward a new world order where we would be controlled by the UN has come to an end and NOTHING makes me happier. One of the nations that is in the EU, however, Malta, is faced with stiff penalties if they don't meet their goals for solar power. They are a very small island that has a limited amount of land available for renewable energy. They are VERY sunny, however they are also the densest…Continue

Residents of Hopkinton, NY are facing the same antagonists we here in Maine are facing. A letter to the editor in their local paper and a reply to it are very interesting to read. I'm not sure where all the PRO facts came from, but the answer to it was spot on.
The first letter:…Continue

About eight years ago ISO NE developed a scheme to allow a few large customers to buy their power directly from the grid based on prevailing rates on an hour by hour basis. During periods of low usage in Spring and Fall, these customers can "buy" power at $0 or even get a credit. This is made possible because ISO NE is MANDATED to energy from wind and solar generators and ask the reliable base load producers to reduce their input. At that point, the wind and solar…Continue
We hear from the trolls in the comment sections of the PPH, BDN and other papers all the time about how China is beating us now by cancelling new coal plants. The number thrown around is between 100 and 108 cancellations. But a pretty reliable source, at least with the leftists, The New York Times, (All The News That Fits The Print) is saying that that information is inaccurate . . . . in fact REAL inaccurate. While they may have mothballed 108, they are currently building or have in the…Continue
