As this gentleman points out, wind projects do not make sense for the wind companies when there is no way to attach the turbines. When greedy landowners decide to throw their neighbors under the bus so that they can line their pockets at others' expense, their schemes fall apart when other landowners refuse to host turbines. Even with the government giveaways to the developers, the wind companies won't want your town if enough landowners refuse to sell out to the carpetbaggers.
