Relying on an EV in a Maine power outage mustn't be good
Somewhere in Maine is a Tesla owner who had to go somewhere this morning but couldn't when the power outage prevented charging.
Perhaps he was fortunate and was able to use a gas powered generator to get a home charge. I wonder if a PORTABLE generator would have worked. I doubt it. So perhaps another possible expense entailed in EV ownership is having the right kind of permanent generator (maybe $15,000 or so???) installed in one's home.
The good news is that if he just waits, such a generator won't cost anything --- if the central planners get their way, they'll be banned, along with portable generators.
Well at least the home bound Tesla owner can wait for the power to come back on while staying warm with a good old wood stove. But look out. The central planners will be coming for our stoves too.
Somewhere in Maine is hopefully a critical mass of clear and critically thinking citizens that will ban the central planners. They have already been allowed to do way too much damage.

Indeed, Penny, the Green New Deal is entering a murderous phase of madness. It seems that climate is being weaponized by our own government with ambitious help from the CCP.

People are going to die. Lots of people, if this Green agenda gets mandated. One big blizzard. One long power outage. It won't even take that, all it will take is the grid being overloaded. Overburdened. People are going to die. And the horror of it is, I'm not sure most of the politicians pushing this agenda are smart enough to realize this.
