Putin: Oil Sanctions Will Be Europe's "Economic Suicide" On Orders From "American Overlords"

WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 2022 - 04:15 AM

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that EU countries are committing "economic suicide" by refusing Russian energy resources amid a push to impose an oil embargo, but which has been thus far blocked by Russian energy-dependent Hungary and a handful of others.

As quoted in RIA Novosti, Putin described that the oil sector is busy undergoing a "tectonic shift" which will only be made worse by "ill-thought-out" sanctions by the West.

The address was given virtually to an energy conference of the country's industry heads.

"Changes in the oil market are tectonic in nature and doing business as usual, according to the old model, seems unlikely," he said. "In the new conditions, it is important not only to extract oil, but also to build the entire vertical chain leading to the final consumer."

He called out the current EU-US trajectory of seeking to inflict maximum punishment on Moscow as a strategy ensuring higher energy prices and higher inflation. That's when he observed:

"Of course, such an economic suicide is a domestic affair of the European countries," based on the AFP translation.

At the same time, Putin additionally pointed out, Europe's "chaotic actions" would eventually serve to boost oil and gas revenues for Moscow, also as Russia diverts energy supplies to "friendly" countries.

He urged Russian industry authorities to be more proactive in leveraging the situation for the nation's benefit.

Putin described a scenario of Europe feeling the brunt of the crisis worst, according to state media:

"Rejection of Russian energy resources means that Europe will systemically become the region with the highest energy costs in the world. Yes, of course prices will rise and resources will go to this region, but it will not be possible to radically alter the situation.

This will seriously - and according to some experts irrevocably - undermine the competitiveness of a significant part of European industry, which is already losing the competition to companies in other regions of the world," Putin said, speaking at a meeting with officials devoted to energy issues on Tuesday.

He added that Western officials and populations had long been over-concerned with "climate issues" - betting too big on the effectiveness of alternative energy (wind, solar, batteries), in a theme the Russian president has stressed for years.

"One gets the impression that our Western colleagues, politicians and economists have simply forgotten the foundations of the elementary laws of economics, or, to their own detriment, prefer to deliberately ignore them," he said.

Putin: "Giving up Russian energy resources will make Europe the region with the highest energy costs in the world systematically, for the long term. And this may have very serious [...] irreversible consequences for a significant part of European industry." pic.twitter.com/zVbDIDvdMQ

And in perhaps the most biting part of the speech where he took a swipe at Washington and its European allies, Putin mocked EU capitals which seem to take orders from their "American overlords".

"Today we see that for absolutely political reasons, due to their own ambitions and under pressure from their American overlords, European countries are imposing more and more sanctions on the oil and gas market.

All of this causes inflation, and instead of admitting their mistakes, they are looking for the guilty party in another place," Putin said.

Please read

Always remember, the more installed MW of wind, solar and batteries, etc., per household, the higher the household electric rates, as proven by Denmark and Germany, the poster children of energy system insanity.

This has been known and written about for about 15 years.

This article introduces a lot of complex concepts that most people would not understand, unless they had engineering degrees and MBAs.

Luckily, figure 2 comes to the rescue

Figure 2 clearly shows, Germany’s ENEGIEWENDE has been a miserable failure, despite 20 years of hype.

It has been extremely costly to German households and the German economy, i.e., the FCOE has been very high.

The authors should have estimated the German FCOE as a methodology example for other countries. It would have greatly improved their article.

A Future with Energy Prices Tied to Gold

Germans, and all of Europe, have been living in la-la-land, due to plentiful, low-cost oil, gas and coal from Russia, at extremely low prices, i.e., the FCOE of ANY ADDITIONAL ENERGIEWENDE is about to significantly increase RIGHT NOW.

The US idea of “Russia must not be allowed to win” is easy to say for the energy-sufficient US

It is total BS for energy/other-resource-starved Europe.

The US can afford to use corrupt, dysfunctional, oligarchic Ukraine, as a proxy  to "weaken Russia"

Europe cannot.

Europe will have a much higher FCOE, and will be at a significant competitive disadvantage vs the rest of the world, going forward.

China and India are increasing their consumption of coal, oil and gas, regardless of whatever COP.

Russia is supplying most of those increases.

China is planning to expand BRISC with more members, as a counterweight to the US/EU

It is well-known, tele-marketers purchase lists of names of people who buy certain goods, such as certain types of clothes, and sell the lists to other companies who sell similar clothes, who then send THEIR catalogs to YOUR house.

Law-enforcement and intelligence agencies geo-track record mobile phone conversations and mobile phone movements, to nab criminals and terrorists.

There are companies that collect geo-tracking data and sell the data.

Telemarketers, or anybody, can purchase the data of each person's mobile phone.

The data provides detailed information regarding where YOUR phone, or tens of thousands of phones, travelled over a chosen period

of time, and how long the phones stayed at each location.

A video was prepared, with input from a private geo-tracking company, which used the geo-tracking data of at least 2000 MULES in five swing states, during the 2020 Election

People, called MULES, were used to pick up PREPARED ballots at ballot preparation centers, run by “non-profits”, and deliver the ballots (mostly late at night) to various DROP BOXES, around the clock.

The drop boxes had video cameras, as required by law, far enough away, so no one could make out much details.

Zuckerberg, et al., CEO of Facebook, donated about $400 million from his own wealth to finance the installation of drop boxes all over the US.

Click to download the video to watch the details. The first part of the video are clips from 2020 television news shows, and talking heads. You can skip those and fast forward to watch an explanation by experts regarding how the data was gathered and processed.

It was found, after a lot of data filtering analysis:

On a typical day, a MULE visits multiple ballot preparation centers to pick up prepared ballots, and delivers them to many drop boxes, in small batches, about 3 to 10 ballots at a time, to avoid stuffing suspicions.

Sometimes Mules take a picture of the drop box and/or ballots, to prove the ballots were delivered, and to get paid up to $20/ballot.

The filtering criteria of a MULE “delivery trip” are to:

1) Visit at least 10 drop boxes.

2) Deposit at least 5 ballots/drop box.

Many mules visit many more drop boxes, but were instructed not to deposit more than 10 ballots, to avoid stuffing suspicions.

The data analysts used 4 MILLION minutes of videos at drop boxes, in all US states.

It turns out some drop boxes had no video cameras, or had video cameras, but they were turned off.

The table shows, in Michigan, there were 500 MULES, who each visited an average of 50 drop boxes, and deposited an average of 5 ballots per drop box, as recorded on videos at drop boxes. All five state were credited to Biden, but the drop box totals exceeded Biden’s margin, i.e., all five states should have been credited to Trump, which would have re-elected him.

Remember, all five states stopped the counting at about 10 pm on Election Night, because Trump was just too far ahead. Something had to be done.

Drop box

Ballot/drop box

Elections in Europe

In Germany, 85 million people, and France 75 million people, there are

No drop boxes

No mail-in ballots

No ballot harvesting

No early voting

Every CITIZEN has a personal identity card with a unique number

The cards of non-citizens are identical, but have a different color; THEY DO NO VOTE

A passport, which has the same bio information, can be used instead of an identity card

The passports of non-citizens have a different color

The identity cards and passports are very difficult to forge.

Your address on the card determines your location to vote

No machines and computers are used, by LAW

All ballots are hand counted

The count takes about 2 to 3 days to complete, as was demonstrated in Franc a few weeks ago.

The above should be the US national standard for all elections, including state and local elections

I do not approve of any wars anywhere, including in Korea, Vietnam, NATO bombing Serbia, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Libya and Ukraine.

This article, “Shades of Gray in the Russia-Ukraine War”, provides an excellent summary of historic developments. It should be read for background. Zelensky was elected on a “Peace-with-Russia” platform. Despite the terms of the Minsk agreements, the powers surrounding Zelensky have been unwilling to talk to and negotiate about home-rule with the leaders in the Donbas region in East Ukraine, for eight years.

US-led Color Revolution/Coup d’Etat of Ukraine: I wrote this article, because Russia-hating, extremists in the US State Department and US Congress have been using NATO to pressure first the USSR, then Russia.

They have been deluding impoverished, corrupt Ukraine with promises of future membership in the EU and NATO, since 1990

They have been weaponizing Ukraine against Russia ever since the US/EU-instigated color revolution/coup d’etat in 2014

Separatists in East Ukraine: In 2014, millions of Russian-speaking Ukrainians, mostly in East Ukraine, decided not to support the US-installed, puppet Kiev government.

Here is:

1) A 2014-transcript of the conversations between Assistant Secretary of State Nuland and Ambassador Pyatt, including, by Nuland: OK. He's now gotten both Serry and [UN Secretary General] Ban Ki-moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it and, you know, Fuck the EU.

2) A U-tube video with viewer’s comments

There has been no real “government” in Kiev since 2014; the US ambassador is in charge, because he dispenses $billions to impoverished, aid-dependent Ukraine.

An anti-Russia doctrine has been hatched in Washington to foment war in Europe. As part of the doctrine, the US pressured Ukraine not to implement the signed Minsk 2 agreements for 8 years, to keep the anti-Russian pot boiling.

The neo-Nazi-inspired, NATO-trained Ukraine army, on the line of separation, has been committing genocide of Dombas people, who fired back. Net result 15,000 dead, plus many more wounded over 8 years

The US/UK-supplied defensive and offensive weapons, plus military training personnel to Ukraine, so it could “defend itself”

At the urging of the US, Ukraine “floated” the idea of Ukraine having an “Iron Dome” similar to Israel, and reacquiring nuclear weapons.

This article presents an excellent history of US policy versus Russia since 1945

EU countries reluctantly agree to sanction Russia, as otherwise they would lose access to US markets, even though it means forfeiting their profitable trade with Russia.

EU countries insisted on continued imports of Russian natural gas and oil, as otherwise their economies would be in depression.

Predicted Russian Reactions: Russia made certain demands regarding:

1) NATO encroachments beyond East Germany starting in 1999, which took place after the US/UK/German promise to Gorbachev in 1990 not to expand beyond East Germany.

2) The indivisibility of Russian and European security; i.e., not increase your own security at the expense of someone else’s.

The US/UK-led NATO rejected the demands, and offered, likely as a diversionary tactic, to talk about side issues, that had originally been raised by Russia, but ignored.

Russia demanded the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, and invaded Ukraine to make it happen.

Promises of the West to Russia: US Secretary of State Baker, and German Chancellor Genschler, and USSR President Gorbachev agreed East Germany would be reunited with West Germany and all of Germany would be in NATO (so it would not ever be a threat to Russia), and NATO would not expand (“not one inch”, per Baker) beyond East Germany.

NATO did expand to Russian borders, starting in 1999 to the present, for “defensive purposes”.

Some people say: 1) the Heads of State and Secretaries of State making the promises were not “authorized”, or 2) nothing was officially written down in agreement documents, which, de facto, implies:

1) The verbal promises of US/UK/EU/NATO-combo mean nothing

2) “The West” would determine the security of the East Europe, etc., regardless of Russia’s security; might makes right!

Here is an excellent history of NATO expansion by a Canadian, who thinks NATO is a problem, not a solution

Here is an excellent interview regarding the post-Cold-War order being replaced by a multi-Polar order, by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the son of a Russian Ambassador stationed in Ireland.

Here is an excellent summary of contemporary documents indicating Western promises to Russia in 1991

The EU Conundrum: The EU is partially at fault, as it did not assert itself regarding the Kiev coup d’etat in 2014

The EU decided to become an aider and abettor of US policy goals regarding Ukraine in 2014, and onwards

The EU present predicament is significantly at variance with its vital interests.

They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
