Offshore Wind Slow Boiling Electric Ratepayers

Picture: Electric Ratepayers Being Sacrificed For A Failing Offshore Wind Agenda
In 2016 the offshore wind industry sources said wind energy holds the promise of significant environmental and economic benefits. By 2023 there are multiple whales and marine life that have died in the vicinity of offshore wind construction since 2016. There are no longer any savings on your electric bill only future increases.
.
The Boiling Frog is a story describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in warm water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. Electric ratepayers are the Frogs today.
.
Offshore wind recent withdrawals from contracts, power purchase agreements, and maintenance issues are all going to raise home electric rates to the point of second mortgages. The electric ratepayers have become the Frogs in the warm water and the heat is being gradually turned up.
.
Offshore wind energy rose after the land-based wind political agenda failed in 2016 when maintenance issues, noise, and shadow flicker along with litigation ended wind in populated areas.
.
New England politicians are bending over backward to accommodate offshore wind developers re-writing contracts increasing renewable energy credits and making it mandatory for electric suppliers to accept power purchase agreements written by contractors. Electric ratepayers are on the back burner in more ways than one.
.
These higher electric rates are snowballing and will affect homeowners, property owners, businesses, and everyday people.
.
Politicians need alternatives to ocean wind such as biomass, modular nuclear, sun, hydroelectric, and hydrogen. Hydrogen is the most abundant chemical substance in the universe.
.
The politicians only care about the offshore wind agenda and are willing to sacrifice the electric ratepayers only to say at a later date that the public had time to weigh in and failed to do their due diligence.
.
The commercial wind is a bunco scheme of enormous consequence. The people who value intellectual honesty should not quietly be fleeced by such mendacity, even from their government officials.

Every damn politician pushing offshore wind as an energy source alternative to carbon dioxide producing, but far less expensive and superiorly effective and reliable fossil fuels know fossil fuels will not be going anywhere as long as there are poor people inhabiting this planet desiring a better existence.

With this being a well-known fact, every politician pushing offshore wind will surely be held accountable for the human, creature and vegetive destruction they will have wrought.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
