Vineyard Wind off Massachusetts was supposed to have turbines sending power to the grid by the end of 2023. Instead, there was a bit of delay, a blade broke off, and 150 blades are defective.
.
The same turbine AW 38 was recently hit by lightning. After the blade failure on July 13, 2024, the turbine was left without lightning protection. There is no reason why this turbine was not repaired, exposing it to further damage from weather-related storms.
.
The 50 tons of blade debris containing microplastics, foam, and balsawood are still washing up on Natucket beaches. The cost to island residents and businesses remains unknown.
.
GE Vernova, the blade manufacturer, wrote off a 700 million dollar loss. The blades were made in Canada at the LM Wind Company, a subsidiary of General Electric.
.
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement is conducting an ongoing investigation.
.
A lawsuit has been filed against Vineyard Wind in the US Supreme Court.
.
Massachusetts has stopped gas pipelines and shut down fossil fuel plants long before the anticipated offshore wind plants are complete, costing electric ratepayers.
.
Eversource invested in offshore wind reporting losses of $2.4 billion. "B" Billion.
.
Since 2016, with the start of the Block Island wind turbines, whale deaths have followed offshore wind construction with the phrase: "A deaf whale is a dead whale." The wind turbine construction deafens the whales, communication, navigation, or the ability to hunt for food.
.
The electricity produced by offshore wind farms is typically transmitted back to shore via underwater cables. These cables emit high-voltage electromagnetic fields, which have been shown to affect sea life adversely.
.
Offshore wind companies donated millions to environmental groups. The scientists and researchers associated with these groups say: "They don't know what is killing the whales but they are sure it's not offshore wind."??
.
The prior Biden administration, which told people that the border was closed, also had a failed offshore wind agenda. President Trump declared a national energy emergency on inauguration day.
.
Before the catastrophic failures, the Vineyard Wind project was estimated to cost 4 billion. GE Vernova is likely to lay off hundreds of employees.
.
Renewable energy incentive credits pay up to 40 percent of the cost of offshore wind projects. The state and federal credits are financed by your average Jill and Joe.
.
As of 2025, very few Vineyard Wind offshore wind turbines are operating.
.
If you consider investing in offshore wind, you may be better off with lottery tickets. Investing in offshore wind is a poor choice.
.
Note # In January 2019, a fishing boat based in Point Judith, the F/V Mistress, was taking on water within the Block Island RI wind farm area. An all-weather Coast Guard MH-60T, a medium-range helicopter from Boston, could not save two of the fishermen. More than likely the spacing of the turbines from each other was a factor rather than weather prevented a rescue by helicopter.

He who is over the target draws the most fire.

Pay attention to Infowars and you will soon see why they are always being smeared.

"They" don't want you straying from their propaganda machine, especially to Infowars. Exactly the reason you should join the growing tens of millions already watching them.

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
