BDN Beating the Drum Hard on Climate control Letters to the Editor.

Two Letters today on having Senator Collins fight the battle for Trump's appointments to EPA, Energy and Secy of State.  I'm not sure she really has to be told that, as she votes with the Dems alot.  Just waiting to see if they post my Letter about killing Eagles.  They have not even referenced that regulation was signed.  Anyone taking bets?

I actually know her and I will write her a letter. I always get a reply.  I could post it and have everyone sign it.  I will post it on the website.

And we should have scads of signers to the letter.

Is there some way we can do an electronic letter to Senator Collins letting her know that plenty of people in Maine want her to realize and remember that, although the moneyed interests want her to champion the climate change scam, the citizens she represents want her to champion their rights and interests. We're the ones who vote and although we can be dismissed and discounted at times, we can make ourselves heard. We're out here living with the daily effects of the climate change war and we've had it up to here. Our war is with the climate change scammers not with the climate.

Comparing Climate change to terrorism, is the same rhetoric that the Elitists at the top of the party SPINS..... Oh by the way, I will remain a deplorable along with the adult democrats that saw through all the crap when it was stated that we were Not American if we did not vote for the Queen but refugees and illegals were worthy and should have the right to vote.   That ole Elephant has a memory......

I agree Mountain.  Follow the money.

And Paula, Comparing "Climate Change" to terrorism?  That is pure ideological lunacy.  First of all, where do all those projections come from?  The same computer driven models that give them Climate Change?  Computers are good, but if you put garbage in you get garbage out.  If CO2 is going up, food supplys will be strengthened.  Besides, these morons are hoping that the population shrinks.  That is the whole basis for Agenda 21 - eugenics.

I posted the following yesterday, but am posting again now as I believe the media incessantly write about things like climate change (or encourage letters), because they have been paid to do so. Their traditional business model is in tatters so they have become keyboards for hire. I do not KNOW this, but what else explains some of their positions? Follow the money.

Are Left Wing Foundations The Real Editors of Our Newspapers These Days?

Left-Wing Non-Profits Paying Big Grants to Newspapers for 'News Gathering'

"There is no doubt that journalism has fallen on tough times in this electronic era. Newspapers have been shutting down by the dozens and those that are left are shedding jobs, cutting salaries, eliminating benefits, and, consequently, covering fewer and fewer news worthy events. With advertising drying up and newspapers and other newsgathering organizations losing money something certainly has to give.

Many in the news industry see non-profit grant making as one of the ways to save detailed coverage of news that might otherwise go unreported. On the other hand, what does this money buy the grant givers? Does it buy them favorable coverage of the subjects and ideas they are in business to push?"

Following the green brick road from this BDN article to a previous one by U Maine prof's to a "recent analysis" that proves that climate change takes more lives than terrorism:

The ultimate irony of Republicans brushing off the impact of climate change: Drought and extreme weather can destabilize developing regions, making climate change one of the factors that drives terrorism.

The so learned and scientific study they cite:

DARA

Now, compare that to terrorist incidents between 2000-2013, compiled in the 2014 Global Terrorism Index by the Institute for Economics and Peace. There were 18,000 deaths from terrorist attacks in 2013, a peak year. Over the 13-year period studied, 100,000 people died. Unlike the widespread impacts of climate change, terrorist threats are targeted. Most of the attacks in 2013 affected just five countries—Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Syria.

Sorry professors, I learned scientific methodology at U Maine and I don't think this jumble of numbers meets the smell test. Comparing projections of disease and accident deaths over two decades in the future with 13 years of past terrorist related deaths? Settled science? Pseudo-science is more like it.

And this is the basis for all the trampling of our rights, ruining our economy, destroying our Maine scenic heritage, and dividing our communities? Hell, wasn't it in the 60's that we were all going to die in a new ice age if the commies didn't get us first? Color me agnostic.

I think she is.

She flatly pulled her support of Trump and never has amended that statement. We shall see if she is a consumer of the Kool Aid also.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
