Are there more than 11000 bald eagles living in the New England and Mid Atlantic states?

Are there another 27,000 bald eagles living in the Great Lake States?  No but greedy wind developers and the Interior Department want you to think so. These numbers are not real. These are fake Interior Department numbers created with deceptive data building methodologies. These numbers were needed to justify on paper and to minimize the perceived impact of a new law allowing the slaughter of 4200 bald eagles a year. Here are the old Bald eagle population numbers from 2009. On paper and according to the Interior Department, America's bald eagle population has grown about 250% since 2006.

A 2005 survey of all known nest sites in Minnesota identified just 872 nests with adult eagles present. Minnesota is the state with the highest population of bald eagles in the lower 48 states.
http://www.startribune.com/minnesota-s-bald-eagle-popula…/…/ Now the public is hearing this........June 10, 2017 “Our bald eagle population is doing very well. We have the highest population of bald eagles in the Lower 48,” said Lori Naumann, a representative of the nongame wildlife program of the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

Naumann said Minnesota has about 9,800 pairs of bald eagles, with the birds having made a remarkable comeback from 30 or so years ago, when they were considered endangered. When the bald eagles were scarce, the DNR regularly surveyed breeding areas to keep track of the number of nests.

“We stopped doing surveys because we know the population is healthy,” she said.

A population increase of over 1000% since 2005??????  Yes, reported population increases of this magnitude are possible when the Government and wind industry are working together.  Though none of these recent bald eagle population figures are true, it does illustrate the lack of agency science and ethics when dealing with our national bird.                                                                                                                                This colluding agency is not your friend .......................                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Last updated: May 31, 2017     The Eagle Act is flexible and provides permits for take of eagles or their nests when no other alternatives are available.  No one has applied for a permit yet in Maine, however we are discussing this possibility for several wind power and development projects.                                                                                                                  https://www.fws.gov/mainefieldoffice/Bald_and_Golden_eagle_protection_act.html                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Conveniently, since Dec. 2016 it has become legal to kill 4200 bald eagles a year and unbeknownst to the public, several thousand wind turbines are in the developmental stages for all these states. This my friends is collusion at its worst.

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
