A top CMP critic joins company’s side of utility takeover campaign

So, iI Seth Berry is promoting unconstitutional referendum questions to scam the people of Maine, why isn't he in jail for fraud?

Even Tom Saviello, an ardent CMP critic, has no use for a takeover of private businesses.

A top CMP critic joins company’s side of utility takeover campaign

BANGOR DAILY NEWS • July 19, 2023

Former state Sen. Tom Saviello was celebrating after Maine voted to oppose the Central Maine Power Co. corridor. Now, he is being paid to work on CMP’s side of a referendum on Maine’s electricity future. Saviello was among the most visible corridor opponents during the yearslong political and legal struggle over the project. He was hired in April for $5,000 per month by Versant Power’s political group opposing a utility takeover, according to campaign finance disclosures filed this week. Saviello said he dove into the details of the takeover and decided there were too many risks involved. He joins an army of public figures and lobbyists working for the utilities. They are part of a massive multi-front campaign between CMP and Versant that has spent more than $17.1 million against just $733,000 from Our Power.

Super expensive offshore wind turbines, and batteries will come to the rescue to power the heat pumps in summer and winter, and the cookstoves and EVs year-round.

In case of power failure/blackouts, you will no longer be allowed to have gas-powered electric generators, which means, after a few days of blackouts, you throw your expensive food away.

Democrats, who elected these inane, incompetent, impractical, technically challenged people, are finally learning some of the very costly, unaffordable, realities of the situation.

The Russians, Chinese, and many other people, are laughing in their fists, as the US and EU repeatedly shoot ourselves in their feet.

This is what made the referendum to stop NECEC unconstitutional:

What the Fourth Amendment Says

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Now if it is unconstitutional to seize one's project property, why would it be perfectly fine to seize all assets?

The legislature is made up of a number of commies who can't read and understand the constitution of the United States

Saviello is an opportunist as are most carreer politicians. He's a bit sleazy  and not that bright - another trait of carreer politicans. Sort of an all hat. no cattle type of guy.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
