Politicians, Look What You Have DONE! UNDO IT NOW!

Why aren't any of our so-called people's politicians demanding the repeal of all state and federal laws that subsidize wind, solar and battery storage?

The month of May's average ISO-NE wholesale energy price paid to all generators in New England was a whopping $74.79 per megawatt hour, that is in addition to the capacity payments arranged by ISO-NE.

This is more than any so-called…

Aqua Ventus LLC Has No Business Plan. The People's Bank (Ratepayers) Rejects This Proposal

Pine Tree AKA Aqua Ventus LLC proposes an adjustable-rate power purchase agreement:

"The pricing structure proposed by Pine Tree will, pursuant to Chapter 327 Section 3(3)(D), recognize and accommodate “the commercial challenges in long-term cost estimation for large marine energy infrastructure”. It also will “permit power purchase agreement capacity, energy and renewable energy credit prices to be…

Seth Berry's Fantasies

Unable to force the collapse of Central Maine Power and Versant through fantasy legislation, ugly innuendos and outright lies, Seth Berry has decided that these companies no longer have a right to exist.
Look at your monthly electric bill. What you won't see is how much more the payment due is because of legislation that makes CMP and Versant collection agencies for…

ISO-NE, Clean and Reliable Electricity at Any Cost?

"Over the years, the region has become more reliant on imported fuels and the need for a robust and sustainable solution has grown more urgent. Increasingly, we are reminded—as we were during the pandemic, and more recently with the Russian incursion into Ukraine—that geopolitical events are quickly felt locally, exacerbating supply issues and increasing both supply risk and pricing uncertainty. Urgency is warranted—in the past two years, four out of seven independent service operators…

ISO-NE is No Longer a User-Friendly Place for Maine.

The ISO-NE Power Grid is dominated by natural gas-fired generation plants. In fact, during the peak electricity consuming suppertime hours of 5 pm to 8pm during July 1,2022, natural gas plants supplied 12,000+ megawatts, nuclear supplied 3000+ megawatts, hydro supplied around 1600 megawatts and wind, solar biomass, trash and landfill plants produced about 1200 megawatts.

Is it any wonder natural gas plants set the price of electricity in New England? The…

November 2022, Energy D-Day for Maine

Our energy industry is falling apart, decimated by the democrat's led " Green Deal", a non-scientific, emotionally driven edict against nationalism.

With their whole cumulated soul quietly attached to this misguided and unpatriotic movement, Janet Mills and the democrat-controlled legislature is forging ahead, flush with federal money (The feds detached themselves from the American Taxpayer when they spent their way into 30 trillion dollars of debt), (THEIR DEBT, NOT…

Electric Delivery Simplified Versus the Way Seth Berry Sees It.

Berry lies about CMP being a monopoly. They are a regulated monopoly. The regulatory agency in charge of overseeing CMP and Versant is the Maine Public Utilities Commission(MPUC)

The MPUC has great powers to make sure the investor-owned utilities are transparent about their management and operating systems. Consumer-owned utilities mostly operate in a single town or city and local control is within a single municipal governing board. The MPUC has minimal say in the conduct…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
