The Tax Extenders Bill will be coming up by the end of the Legislative session in Washington. We are talking a total of $95 BILLION over ten years to give money to industries that already are up and running. $10.5 BILLION for Wind PTC over ten years. Why not put this money into something useful like Cancer research or REAL problems that face us in the future. …

The lab features a 16-foot-deep wave pool with a rotating wind machine. It’s meant to test 1:50 scale models against waves up to 2½ feet, or 125 feet when scaled up, and the scale equivalent of hurricane-force winds......Additional funding came from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, National Science Foundation, Maine Technology Institute and a $5 million voter-approved bond.…

A few decades ago from William Howard Taft:
"The spirit of Christianity is pure democracy. It is equality of man before God – the equality of man before the law, which is the most God-like manifestation that man has been able to make."
"No man can study the movement of modern civilization from an impartial standpoint and not realize that Christianity, and the spread of Christianity, are the basis of hope of modern civilization in the growth of popular self…

This bill is coming up. Please write your Senators and Congressmen or call their offices to let them know hydro would be a much better, cleaner, more reliable, and cheaper way to provide the power we will need for the future. We have the water, infrastructure and history of hydro here in Maine and should continue to pursue it. Modern hydro…

Angus King lecturing others about environmental ethics???????????
"But first, U.S. Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, took the mic and provoked the thoughts of the crowd with a quick lesson in environmental ethics".
U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King believe that Maine isn’t capitalizing enough on its ample hydropower, onshore wind and biomass resources, which are all valuable components to a thriving energy economy".
The…

In spite of a lot of setbacks, and still a bunch of roadblocks in the way, the Green Bunch are still holding up hopes that a 500 MW system can be put in offshore. I hope the PTC shoot down will put an end to all this foolishness. Running the hookup for the offshore turbines in Maine waters to hook up to the grid will be extraordinarily expensive, and raise rates again. That is ALL New infrastructure. …

And be sure to see the following link. Bookmark it, read it and read it again. Big picture: Over PUC staff objections, the Maine PUC approved the $1.4 Billion CMP Upgrade which despite BS published about it in the Maine press was one thing and one thing only - a 100% ratepayer funded gift to the wind industry so they could collect their subsidies and sell their REC's while destroying Maine. Kurt Adams was PUC chairman who took over $1 million in stock options from First Wind and then jumped…

Led by Governor Shumlin, Vermont passed Act 56 which requires 90% of electrical energy to come from renewable sources by 2050. As this article points out, Vermont lacks the transmission capability to do so. Why should the rate payer bear the cost for private companies? AND it is true the needed storage capability does not exist yet.

FERC has approved the sale of Passadumkeag Wind Holdings LLC to Sun Edison and its investor Summit Natural Gas. This will be interesting! Can the tanking Sun Edison really participate in this deal given its financial condition? Or is Summit Natural Gas on its own? Hmm - Summit Natural Gas and Wind - lead by none other than Kurt Adams!…

Though these people may not have any need for electricity and may have done well without it, Corporations such as GE feel they know best, so long as there is a profit to be had. One has to wonder what percentage of any income will be extracted from these new ratepayers and their governments.

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********
(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
