I received notification (www.cleanenergyrfp.com) that the Evaluation Team has finalized its work and selected the winning bidders. The results will be announced in March 2017. Once the contracts are finalized, they will be sent to regulatory authorities for approval.

It sounds as though the evaluation team's decisions affecting ratepayers will be made and communicated to the wind developers, but the public will be kept in the dark until the very last minute. This allows the wind developers maximum time to spring their surprise attack while giving everyday Mainers absolute minimum time to react to the news that an out sized wind factory is now targeted for their community. The government does not work for you; it works for…

Ever wonder why the press almost always lies to us about wind power via acts of commission and omission?…

When corruption rules .............Research is routinely rigged.
The annual estimated bird mortality from wind turbines in the US is claimed to be no more than 573,000. However I want to point out that this number used by the bird conservation groups, the media and Government agencies, was created from a culmination of fake industry studies using a variety of highly deceptive research methodology tricks.
Then using all this false data from the industry’s fake studies, a new…

The Icebreaker project is the first of what will end up being several hundred turbines placed on lake Erie. Hundreds of massive wind turbines that will kill tens of thousands of birds annually are being planned for Lake Erie. Property values will also be greatly impacted.
I can not emphasize this enough, the MO of this industry is to lie, lie again, pay others to lie for you and to keep on lying until the profits stop. It has been that way since 1985 when the results of first and…

To be sure , this is a metaphor, but when it comes to renewable energy, Massachusetts is finding out the hard way! You can legislate anything you want - but if you are expecting the impossible - forget it! Massachusetts requires 9450 gigawatts of renewable energy - And there is no way that is coming from wind or solar power as we in Maine know. Hydro-power works - but transmission is still the problem!…

Grafton and Windham Vermont are experiencing the worst that wind energy can bring to a community. Imagine if John Baldacci gets his way in Maine and Iberdrola, now called Avangrid, is allowed to both deliver and produce energy in Maine!

When corruption rules the public is fed lies. One of these lies is that the Altamont Pass area has largest density of breeding Golden Eagles in the world. This myth was made up from bogus wind industry research.
Altamont is important because this wind energy site has been slaughtering golden eagles for decades. In 2015 the USGS published a report that estimated the eagle population to be approximately 280 pairs in a 2000 square mile region around Altamont. They came to this conclusion…

Wind warriors - ever wonder how woefully hard it is for truth, justice and the American way to prevail over propaganda by paid off politicians, media and environmental groups in the wind battle?
Some of the answer is right here, excerpted from a Wikileaked email sent to campaign manager John Podesta from Bill Ivey, the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts in the late 90's.

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********
(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
