Wind Farm Investment Plunges With Power Prices in Nordic Region

They are complaining that wind power is not profitable anymore in the Nordic Region.  It is currently priced at $50 a mwh and they saw they need $66 to make it work.  July's ISO-NE price was about $26 mwh.  So how would you like to see your prices triple?…

Can anyone imagine what our country would look like with 2 million square kilometers covered with wind towers?

WOW!  This is really scary!  These guys want to blanket our country with enough wind turbines to power our entire energy needs.  They say it is the cheapest way to go.  HAH!

SunEd triple header in Maine

I think I told you Sun Edison would not go away when they were denied a permit for the Weaver Project in Hancock County.  They plan to resubmit it and push for a 2017 completion date.  Meanwhile they are developing another site in Somerset County and are underway with construction on the Bingham Project.  More hilltops destroyed!

Who is this woman trying to fool?

Laura Dorle with Environment Maine, says "We have plenty of sunshine in Maine."  Maybe for about 4 months a year, but with just 4 and a half hours of usable sunshine in the winter, the most useful time to have sunshine, we hardly have enough sun to power our grid.  We still need full power from reliable sources like gas to keep the lights on.  While I have no problem with solar for individuals to use, I resent paying for it through taxes and subsidies.  I happen to have a solar array on my…

Falmouth Mass has been running turbines for the last five years ILLEGALLY!

In their haste to get turbines up and running in Falmouth, Deval Patrick (Obama's clone), the town and wind promoters outright LIED to the public and hid noise levels until the towers were built.  The townspeople have been fighting since the inception and now have a chance to shut them down if they don't get the special permit by Sept 10.  Mass voters and concerned citizens should write and express their opinions. …

A WONDERFUL OCCASION TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS

Hello everybody.

I apologize for the repeat  nature of this message, but this is a very important opportunity to have our voices heard.

The wind scandal that Mike Bond has unveiled in his book  " Killing Maine "is the scandal that we are victims of , the scandal that  we have lived in our fibers and souls . Mike's book will strike the media and his readers much more deeply if real victims or real wind warriors emphasize the facts that the book describes.  So tomorrow such an…

Obama Climate Agenda Banks on Wishful Wind Growth

The line in this story that Obama would like to have a total output from wind equal to all the energy development for the last 118 years, makes his plan a little whimsical wouldn't you say?

One wind industry fraud story of many thousands

In 2009 career politician and renewable energy propagandist, Governor Deval Patrick celebrated the installation of two wind turbines at MWRA's Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The American Wind Energy Association now claims that America's wind turbines are killing 2.6 birds per MW per year. These figures however were obtained by using fraudulent research with methodologies rigged to not find bodies.

In an article published August 28,…

The True Cost of Energy:Wind Very worthwhile reading.

This is a very good and very up to date publication from Strata.org.  It was sent to me from Rand Stowell who has a Facebook page.  Look him up.  He has many Maine related articles and publications that are relevant to our cause.  This really is worthwhile reading.…

Maine May Benefit from Hydro Quebec Decision

This may take the pressure off Mainers to pay for a transmission line.  The only problem it is for hydro from Quebec and probably won't mix well with intermittent wind power.  Since we don't really need any more power, it might make the demand for wind from outside our state fall off.  Sure hope so.

Fossil Fuels Losing Cost Advantage Over Solar, Wind, IEA Says

While this article actually does state FACTS, you have to read between the lines.  This is a European model, but still tells a story.  They say at present coal, gas and nuclear power costs about $100 mwh and solar is at $200 mwh after being recently at $500 mwh.  Wind is higher still.  What that means is "renewables are closing the gap but are still TWICE the cost of traditional power, which of course has been boosted up with "carbon credits".  We here in Maine still have another…

It is IMPERATIVE that we get to our Senators and Congressmen on this issue!

While the House seems to have extended the PTC there is still a vote in the Senate that can shoot it down.  We have to act soon.

An important public service announcement .......................

Recently the Amherst Island wind project was approved by Ontario’s The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. This 27 turbine project will be constructed in a highly sensitive wildlife habitat. These turbines will kill eagles, snowy owls, the Island’s rare barn owls and gyrfalcons. In addition endangered Blanding’s turtles will probably be flattened by construction and wind personnel looking for or hiding turbine carcasses.  Of course rigged mortality studies approved by The…

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
