The wind industry is currently asking for 30 year eagle killing permits. It is long overdue that the public took notice to the Putin style politics taking place with the Interior Department and the wind industry.

Most of the public is not aware that the FWS has been secretly collecting dead eagles from wind farms for at least 20 years. In the last 15 years they have collected about 28,600 eagle carcasses and wind farms in eagle habitat are the most likely location for a person to ever find an eagle carcass.

In highly quoted and bogus stories carried by the national media, only 67-85 of these eagle carcasses have been attributed to wind farms outside of Altamont. Over 28,000 are unaccounted for and they weren't killed by buildings, cars or transmission lines.
The USFWS collects by far the most eagle carcasses from Region 3. This is a Region that includes the states of Minnesota and Iowa. Last year most of the 557 eagle carcasses collected by the FWS from Region 3 were bald eagles. This was about 4 times the total number dead eagles collected from California. Region 3 also now has about 3 times the installed wind energy as CA.

FWS Region 6 which includes Montana and Wyoming was not far behind sending in 502 eagles to the Eagle Repository in 2013. But Region 6 has only two thirds the installed wind capacity as Region 3. All things being equal using the Region 6 recovered eagle carcass rate/ per installed MW of wind energy, Region 3 would be probably sending in about 750 eagle carcasses a year.

California no longer sends the most golden eagle carcasses to the National Eagle Repository. This is because their populations have been decimated by wind energy. The FWS now collects the fewest eagles from California.

A quote from The National Eagle Repository web site...............

Please note: The Repository does maintain a limited supply of shipping boxes for those in need of shipping containers. These boxes are designed to hold 4-5 eagles. If shipping less, we recommend the use of an adequate small box or ice chest. The Repository is happy to provide a prepaid shipping label via email

Now think about this very carefully...........Who would ever need a shipping box that will hold 5 eagles carcasses?  How would anyone ever find that many?  I will tell you how. They are found from a place where dead eagles regularly hit the ground and are then stored in freezers. A place like a wind farm built in eagle habitat.

Regarding these turbines, one thing is certain, the industry and has been killing thousands of bald and golden eagles and lying about it to the public. They did the same thing with all the endangered species being killed in Hawaii by turbines. They covered it up for 7 years until it recently was leaked to the public.
I recommend that everyone read more about the thousands of eagles being killed by wind turbines. Three articles have been published that discuss the rigging of studies, the hidden data held by the Interior Department, and blistering statements made by former FWS special agents disgusted by this runaway industry. It is all in a recently published series on MasterResource ..........."The voice of dead eagles".

Here is a perfect example of the disinformation being given out to the public pertaining to wind turbine related Eagle mortality. This two faced approach also protects the wind industry.

From the July 2014 article "Eagles killed by Palm Springs windmills raise concerns"...............
"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says it has received reports of 15 golden eagles killed by windmills in the Palm Springs area since 1999, an average of one eagle a year. That number, however, is most certainly a tiny fraction of the actual number of deaths because monitoring is spotty, reporting is voluntary and enforcement actions are rare."

"The Fish and Wildlife Service estimates that on average, more than 20 golden eagles are probably killed each year among the wind turbines of San Gorgonio Pass, out of an estimated 120 golden eagle deaths annually at wind farms across California."
Just one golden eagle death annually has been reported in this area by the wind industry with their voluntary regulations and rigged studies, yet the FWS estimates that more than 20 eagles are killed each year by these turbines. What is the real toll for the last 15 years, 15 eagles, 300 eagles or quite possibly far more? This is the fraud facing every community when trying to assess mortality impacts from these wind turbines, because developers will only claim 15.

So how does the FWS arrive at their estimate that over 20 eagles are being killed each year?

This information comes from the eagle carcasses shipped to the National Eagle Repository each year. Eagles killed at Wind farms are the primary source for the Repository  but the FWS can not disclose this. Also keep in mind these are just the eagles found and shipped. Many more eagles perish that are not found.

This very important data pertaining to eagle mortality from wind turbines has been hidden from the public for decades by the Interior Department. The Interior Department has also made sure that, "monitoring is spotty, reporting is voluntary and enforcement actions are rare."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   In 2013 there were 136 eagle carcasses shipped from California and Nevada to the Eagle Repository. For these two states the FWS estimated eagle populations have also been inflated as another measure to protect wind industry development.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         http://www.desertsun.com/story/news/environment/2014/07/03/palm-spr...

Oh, the wind scam industry is doing the devil's work. What a f'ed up country. We should give everything back to the natives, because the U.S. is ultimately about the destruction of nature for money. The republicans hate America, except the money part and the democrats are bullsh-tters also corrupted by the money thing. The natural world, ethical behavior, respect for life, decency and co-existence... All just talk in the U.S. It's all about money here in this corrupt country. And eagles and everything else in the way, dies.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
