"Oh my, these monstrosities are huge. How can these idiots not plan for such a massive disposal of fiberglass? NRCM, AMC, Maine Audubon, Maine Sierra, the Sportkillers Alliance of Maine and the other corrupt idiots who enabled this scam should have…"
"Penny, Long Islander and all,
I just got off a 15 minute phone call with Jensen Bissel. Admittedly, I lectured him about the science and facts of industrial wind and expressed my disappointment that he did not mention the threat these massive…"
"Director Bissel, who is a great director of Baxter State Park, is quite irresponsible here in not even mentioning the huge threat to both parks, from the proposed industrial wind scam turbines just miles away from these protected lands. Very…"
"It looks like the industrial wind charlatans are focusing more and more on Maine because we have some of the stupidest people in New England. The other five states are collectively saying Get Lost to the lying, welfare queens in the wind industry…"
"Bill Clinton also opened up hundreds of national wildlife refuges to hunters and trappers to try to win hunter/trapper votes for the democrats. Aren't wildlife refuges supposed to be actual refuges for native wildlife to live in peace? Not in…"
""Climate change is here" so we're going to do nothing about it by putting up wind turbines that don't work and where they harm forest and mountain ecosystems. Thanks Bill McKibben. Perhaps if all those supposed progressives in…"
"As a native Massachusetts guy, I agree with the poster who wrote that the people of Massachusetts would not support the destruction of Maine's mountains, ridgelines and quality of place if they knew the facts. This bullshit is from Mass.…"
"Defenders of Wildlife has become just another corporate environmental group. They stopped using the influence they once had to protect much of anything. They have utterly failed to protect America's native wolves, which was their flagship…"
"Bernie is so good on fighting our rigged economy and the goons of Wall Street... BUT definitely sucks by being a politically correct airhead and supporting the massively destructive industrial wind scam. Because of this, I am right now withdrawing…"
"Here we have the the dark and sleazy side of the wind scam industry on full display. It requires a banana republic army of lawyers to suppress the truth and the truth tellers. It requires that certain 'environmental' groups and supposedly…"
"Mr. Wisconsin farmer,
Wisconsin is a state full of people doing the wrong thing for the land and wildlife and the future. Wisconsin people perpetrate some of the most abusive and cruel "sport" killing of native wildlife, wolves, black…"
"Oh, the 'poor' babies. LOL! Now take your useless heaps of garbage off our mountains. If the liars at SunEdison can be sued, why not Gov. Baldacci, Angus and his boyfriend, and the state officials and legislators who foisted this…"
"Such is life in the age of Obama, where ecologically vital and beautiful wolves are slaughtered by the thousands to appease the lying federal welfare cattlemen and sadistic sport killers, where Shell Oil is green lighted to drill in the turbulent…"
"Yeh, life is good when you're an attorney/politician who knows how to scam the public, get away with it and move on, with your saddlebags of stolen money into the sunset. Angus' latest bullsh-t is that he is supporting/sponsoring…"
Fellow Maine wind warriors:
For a better Maine, a Maine that is more decent and just, please Vote YES on One! to stop the cruelty and injustice directed for too long against black bears in the forests of Maine. IF&W is conpletely wrong to support the outfitters who are growing the bear population by placing 7,000,000 pounds of human junk food in our woods every year. Hounding black bears through the forest home as if they are war criminals is incredibly obscene, as is snaring them at bait sites and then shooting them at point blank range. No other state allows all three of these pathetic and cruel human behaviors. Support fair chase hunting, not this horrific injustice and cruelty. Maine is a better state than this. Vote YES on One.

"Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine."

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/

Sign up today and lend your voice and presence to the steadily rising tide that will soon sweep the scourge of useless and wretched turbines from our beloved Maine countryside. For many of us, our little pieces of paradise have been hard won. Did the carpetbaggers think they could simply steal them from us?
We have the facts on our side. We have the truth on our side. All we need now is YOU.
