Will Global Warming Freeze Us to Death?? (from BDN)

David Emerson is a professional scientist at the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences who studies bacteria that live literally between a rock and a hard place.

But I am a little perplexed by his "scientific" credentials.

Here is what I commented:

Hey Mr. Emerson;

You are a scientist? You study oceans? Have you happened to be on any of the recent voyages in the last decade to study the North and South Ice Sheets at the poles?

Evidently not. All of these "scientific" expeditions in recent years have been either turned back by ice in the middle of what they would call "summer" or actually got their ships STUCK and had to be rescued. That famous non-scientist that invented the internet, AlGore, promised us that the North Polar ice sheet would be GONE more than ten years ago. IT IS NOT!!! You know 8 or 9 hundred years ago there was a Northern Passage and there was no snow and ice on Greenland. That's how it got it's name. Vikings had quite a settlement there for several centuries.

It is truly amazing how you "scientists" refuse to do the scientifically demanded effort to change your model when it continually fails to make valid predictions. I learned that in third grade science! It is part of the scientific method and is NOT being followed by the non-scientific IPCC and Michael Mann and his ilk. These people are Marxist economists and hatched this absolute NON-scientific plan to play Robin Hood and take from the rich and give to the poor. The United States has done more to quash our CO2 emissions than the rest of the world combined and have donated more to the effort than the rest of the world also.

The danger is that these phony programs have crippled our ability to provide for meaningful, reliable, steady, plentiful baseload energy. Ideologic scientists like you are peoposing we build expensive "renewable" energy like wind and solar, sources that are intermittant and sometimes non-existant. They are not there when you really need them. We have more natural gas, more moving water, more nuclear material, and more coal that is there when you need it. It is concentrated in location, inherantly clean, relatively cheap, extremely reliable and able to be ramped up when needed. The same CAN NOT be said for "renewable" energy like wind and solar.

So, if you post an article like yours, please do a little more research and don't use your scientific credentials to further a scam that has been foisted on the world, has cost valuable infrastructure money and is making us weaker and more vulnerable to "Weather" not climate. By the way, the Polar Bear populations in the Arctic are proliferating, not declining. And crop yields are at all time record level highs worldwide reducing famine. Real statistics show our storms are not more frequent or stronger than the past. There is also a solar minimum coming so you better be prepared for more of this cold. Quite honestly I would rather have warming than cooling, but my belief is that the world climate will do what it has been doing for 4+ billion years and change.

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
