This aired on Maine Public Radio. By far the most comprehensive discussion of energy and electricity so far in the campaign. It is almost two hours long, but worth hearing, for sure.
The moderator was BernsteinShur attorney Jeff Thaler, a bright but obviously biased wind power supporter. He was often fair, but a little heavy-handed in leading the candidates through some fascinating Q&A. Many highlights, including (and you'll want to replay this one in case you don't believe your ears) an unrepentant Libby Mitchell saying that she would have the state trump local control if a wind project siting became controversial. Another noteworthy moment was Paul LePage and Sean Moody saying on the one hand that wind power is not worth it, yet being cajoled by Thaler into saying they support the ridiculous 2700 mw goal set in statute.
