IMAGINE THAT!! IBERDROLA TO INVEST IN WIND!

I think for any member of Citizens' Task Force on Wind this should come as no surprise! Iberdrola to invest $9.6 billion in wind in the US - Of course through Avangrid!  Hmm- I wonder where they may start?  Could it be ME??

"The purpose of our direct action program is to create a situation so crisis-packed that it will inevitably open the door to negotiation .... Indeed, this is the very purpose of direct action .... It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored .... My citing the creation of tension as part of the work of the nonviolent resister may sound rather shocking. But I must confess that I am not afraid of the word "tension." I have earnestly opposed violent tension, but there is a type of constructive, nonviolent tension which is necessary for growth."

None of the public agencies and bureaucracies will take seriously any of your marvelous evidence about the follies and dangers of wind energy (including Nina Pierpont's, or Rick James's, or Glenn Schleede's, or God's for that matter) until -- à la Martin Luther King -- you demonstrate to them that they are going to have to take your evidence seriously.

The operative word is demonstrate. This is not done by reason or argument or a sense of fairness or justice. Sorry to disillusion you, and sorry to shoot down one of the cornerstones of academia: that "the truth will set you free" and "reason prevails over ignorance." Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King all knew the vital word in their struggle was demonstrate.

How much do you figure the key politicians get paid by these companies? I'm talking about those whose votes and influence are critical to the special interests getting their BS anti-citizen money making schemes approved. Also, I am not talking about allowable contributions. I'm talking strictly the against the law type.

Chuckie Schumer escorted Iberdrola in the back door here in New York State when he lobbied for the Sale of Energy East (NYSEG & RG&E here in WNY) TO Iberdrola back in 2007:

Iberdrola to buy Energy East for $4.5 billion:

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/spains-iberdrola-to-buy-energy-east-for-45-billion

Once the Spanish Energy Giant gained ownership, they gutted maintenance programs - putting employees at risk.  Instead, Iberdrola is very actively pushing to install more wind blight across NY countrysides, while our crony-politicians watch the destruction go on.

Iberdrola is now seeking another rate hike from the New York State PSC - up 6.4% increase over the next 3 years here in NYS, which already HAS one of the highest rates in the nation.

We are being sold out from within.  It is so incredibly sad to watch this happening across the nation.  HOW STUPID CAN PEOPLE BE???

This was in yesterday's Buffalo News (owned by Warren Buffett):

Well, they've rented ex-Governor Baldacci as their Vice Chair and he's been trying to get the law changed for them since Sep 2009 when he returned from his Iberdrola-hosted wind mission to Europe.

By the way, Ignacio Galan (pictured below) Chairs both Iberdrola and Avangrid.

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
