De Wever said the disconnect was on full display at the North Sea Summit in January, where European leaders touted large-scale offshore wind projects. Behind closed doors, however, industry executives admitted offshore wind is expensive and unpredictable, he said. Their proposed solution was to use surplus energy to produce green hydrogen at sea.
“That sounds brilliant,” De Wever said, “but also extremely expensive.”

The principal controlling factors that have fueled the unprecendented corruption of life-enhancing energy advancements by throttling down carbon dioxide and fossil fuels are under attack by the Trump Administration. Fossil fuel extraction and utilization is hitting record levels and state carbon dioxide emission programs are being thrown aside to allow reliabile, energy dense resources to rule.
The forces of a common-sense energy policy versus political, irrational policy is underway and not any time too soon.

It would be extremely difficult to dismantle 40 years of insanely expensive wind, solar, etc., energy policies of Europe, because entrenched bureaucracies and wealthy elites, at all levels of power and control, have dug their tunnels to various lucrative subsidy vaults and don’t want the vaults moved.
Under Trump/Vance, the US is on its way to a great energy future, despite major resistance of inane, ignorant, woke foreign and domestic, self-serving, powerful pressure groups, who are enriching themselves, at an impoverishing cost to all others.
Europeans must even fantasize of ever imposing their destructive ways on the U.S. and others.
