A question for readers..........Does this rigged agreement mean that any project getting approval within the 5 year time period will receive credits for a period extending beyond the 5 years?                      Someone needs to look at the language these scumbags wrote up because this could be much worse that you think.

The moral of the story is that graft, corruption , crony capitalism and  lobbied payoffs dominate all houses and parties at this time in history!

Hmmm!  We turn the heat off at night - We do not leave lights on in unoccupied rooms. We recycle - Everything!! We use LED lighting (and what a difference it has made)!  I am not willing to freeze though, for false science - And this year - I am not willing to give up the Christmas spirit!! The LED Christmas lights will be on - Not a showy display - a quiet statement!  Especially important this year!

I was once told, and I thought about this for some time, that the only way a business can be brought to its knees in defeat, is not to buy what they are selling. Though I may use electricity, in my everyday life I have made every effort over the years to reduce consumption, for it becomes the workhorse of life as we know it. It sneaks into every aspect of our lives along with other energies that make things easier or faster or more convenient.

As I travel this year, and view the season lighting displays, I have noticed that people that have never placed lighting displays out, are now doing so because of the inexpensiveness of LED lights. Some who do so are going all out with excessive displays and adding to the need for more energy production in the form of electricity.  Some that have done so in the past have replaced their old power consumers with LED's thus reducing their consumption although they too have become more elaborate.

One family reasoned that since LED lighting is about 1/10th the cost, why not place 11 decorated trees in the yard, vs the usual 1 tree........ though not much seemingly, an increase maybe of about 10%...........

The displays are nice, however again we are being duped into thinking we are Greener than before.

There is a big difference between winning and rigging the game. These crooked bastards did not win a thing. But they did rob the United States Department of the Treasury.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
