While Krugman loathes Thiel and hydrocarbons, the point of his column is to profess his love for Big Wind. The bigger, the better. He writes that making wind turbines “really efficient requires making them very big and tall — tall enough to exploit the faster, steadier winds that blow at higher altitude.” He goes on to say that in a few years we will be seeing “850-foot turbines that totally outcompete fossil fuels on cost.”

Given that forests of turbines taller than Trump Tower (which stands 664 feet high) could soon be blighting our landscapes and seascapes, Krugman claims there is “no longer any reason to believe that it would be hard to drastically ‘decarbonize’ the economy,” nor, he claims is “there reason to believe that doing so would impose any significant economic cost.”

That in a nutshell, is the all-renewable delusion.

What is Paul Krugman??? Is he a scientist?  NO He is an economist . . . an economist allied with another economist Otto Edenhofer. Remember him???

Edenhofer is one of the founders of the IPCC and has famously proclaimed that climate change is just a way for the UN to level the playing field with the world money market. By making us spend more and more money, and punishing us for our use of carbon based fuel, he is able to pull off things like the Paris Accord. Well we foiled that act by Obama to fall in line with the NWO and stand on our own. Let the rest of the world sink their hard earned money into "renewable" folly. We, with the help of REAL science, not the old EPA and NOAA/NASA version, can right this ship of fools and Make America Great Again.

Krugman, the "Left's lefty", is as ignorant as they come on this issue.

He should really try getting out of the Princeton urban area and park his theories alongside of these feckless wastes called wind turbines.

He would then get a real education concerning this renewable farce, he might also understand why his economic theories are as useless as his uneducated energy policy.

Krugman, you will have to call me a "denier" (which is a loathsome analogy to those who deny the history of the Nazi Holocaust). I deny that your precious "renewables" fix anything. Small wind turbines, larger ones, mammoth ones, rooftop p.v. solar arrays, acre wide ones, solar concentrators, giant storage batteries, surf electricity generators, generators on kites, on waving rods, on kids on horseback?, whatever, would fix a non-problem at unimaginable expense. Krugman, won't you, at least, read what CFACT and Marc Morano have to say about this mass delusion?

Our planet has just experienced the most extreme two-year cooling event in a century. But where have you seen this reported anywhere in the mainstream media?

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

******** IF LINKS BELOW DON'T WORK, GOOGLE THEM*********

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
