Where, exactly, is this meeting going to be held?

I am unable to attend tomorrow (work is so inconvenient). Is there an email address for the town office where folks can speak out? Not long ago, Andy Novey from Patriot Renewables looked me in the eye and said a 2000 ft setback from residences is sufficient for industrial wind parks. This company has proven in Freedom Maine that the health of people living by turbines is not a concern for them.

I have know Steve for 40 year's or more when he first came to Carthage . He is dead wrong in holding up the citizen petition. My only son Bruce Harold Tibbetts gave his life for God and Country in Vietnam on June , 11 , 1969 , at L Z East . He did not die in vain. I will be at your public informational meeting , Oct 18, 6 to 8 pm.

Patriots Renewables is submitting their DEP application for Saddleback on Oct. 20. They are conducting a pre submission public informational meeting, Oct 18, 6 to 8 pm.           Steve Brown, first selectman, has been holding a citizen petition for vote on a one mile turbine setback for many weeks now :            By Eileen M. Adams, Staff Writer Published Sep 21, 2010 CARTHAGE — Selectmen have yet to decide what action, if any, they will take on a petition outlining a proposed wind ordinance for their town.                   As one man, Brown should not be allowed to hold up the people's wish for a vote ! The pressure needs to be on him.            As you recall from the last event Patriots held in Carthage, they are very weak in answering questions. I’m sure they plan to spotlight Alice as a villain to the project as she holds out against them. She plans to build a home on her property which happens to be approx. 2000 feet from proposed turbine. We must rally with her. I hope she brings photos of the view from this homesite. Spectacular.  The recent protest in Highland Plantation gives me reason to believe such an event in Carthage could reach many throughout the River Valley   People's rights are being ignored by Brown for not acting on the petition. Alice's dream of having her own home on her property is being shattered.                        Let's give them Hell..............................Dan

Folks, THIS IS IT ! IT IS TIME ! CARTHAGE IS THE PLACE ! The people are getting OUR message. This is the time and the place to gather and BE BOLD Bring signs, bring your passionate voices, and prepare for the SHOOT OUT IN CARTHAGE ! Your stance in Carthage will reverberate throughout the valleys and your voices will ring true all the way to our mountaintops . Our mountaintops of the River Valley , our mountaintops where plans of assault would bring 100 turbines very soon, if we don’t stop them and STOP THEM NOW !
From this tiny hamlet, let’s make our statement be heard. We will not be sheep to State Rule. The future of this part of Maine could be very well decided right here in Carthage, Monday night 6 to 8pm , October 18.
I ask for your help. THIS IS IT ! IT IS TIME !

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
