In fact in 2013 I was successful in doing so even when the R's were not in the majority. I actually stood in the way when the D's tried to take the bills out of NR's hands. I intended to o the same with 1810. It belongs in ENR."
Representative Seth Berry's comment during House Session 3-1-18 :
" I rise in opposition to the last pending motion" ( motion was to recede )" because I agree with my friend from Newport ( Rep. Fredette ) , in his first statement" (Fredette offered that the bill should go to EUT, then quickly corrected himself to a motion to "recede and concur" to the Senate which would have moved the bill to the ENR).
" I do believe the EUT is the correct committee where this bill should be heard ".................." I think it is important that the House continue on the course it has set and remain true to that initial direction "
