One more important thing about the story..........Since Chris O'Neil was involved with a settlement that completely avoided all the proof I provided about Stantec's fraudulent research, he most likely signed a nondisclosure agreement.  If so, he will never be the right guy to interview because he will have to withhold information. Back in 2015 over a period of weeks,  I gave him and his lawyer a mountain of factual information like this opinion I was asked to give............

I will send you my CV tomorrow. Also you need to get educated ASAP.  Read and make sure you understand these articles........... Dead Eagles: Buffet/Berkshire/PacifiCorp Don't Want You to Know (Part 1 and 2) ,  "The voice of dead eagles", "Exposing the wind industry genocide", Hiding"Avian Mortality": Where 'Green' is Red" and   http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/8031983-proposed-wind-far...    ........ Groton NH.        These articles discuss studies rigged by Stantec.    If you have any questions call or email me.

I started to look over the Stantec Wetlands and wildlife report. It is an outright fraud in both methodology and the regurgitation of bogus wind industry mortality data.  As for their surveys and observations, it is not what they say as much as how much they do not and should say. This is a typical pattern with all such wind industry reports.

"Stantec conducted a variety of natural resource and wildlife field surveys in the vicinity of the project area. These pre-construction surveys provided data to help assess the project’s potential to impact birds and bats, RTE plants and animals, breeding amphibians, and wetlands." ...........It is very clear to me that these surveys were used to cover up potential impacts. Truthfully, I could have done a better job with these surveys back in the 8th grade.   There is so much wrong that I could literally write a book.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             For starters the nesting surveys and observations tell very little and this is deliberate. Habitat use is what gets all bird species killed by wind turbines and the habitat at this project site is riddled with wetlands and tributaries that contain many bird species that will be killed. Every one of these locations attracts osprey, bald eagles blue herons etc. because of the foraging opportunities available to local and migratory species. Nothing is said about this.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Altamont has had no nesting eagles for decades but the turbines there have killed thousands of eagles because of the existing foraging habitat.  It will be the same at this location because bald eagles do not just hang around water. They move around a lot and frequently use ridge top air currents.  I will explain more about this behavior later.

. "Stantec and the Applicant met on several occasions with representatives from both MDIFW and USFWS to confirm the scope and methodology for these surveys."  This is also part of the rigging process, getting the OK for their inept surveys so they can be used to produce false assessments.                                                                                                                                        More rigging regarding bald eagles and habitat usage.........."No targeted post-construction fisheries surveys were conducted within the project area, although watercourses were mapped as part of wetland delineations."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         More deception pertaining to bald eagles................. Special Habitat Requirements - "Large bodies of fish supporting water, large supercanopy trees for nesting"     Bald eagles and osprey regularly hunt small tributaries and ponds miles from large bodies of water or their nest sites.   I have even watched osprey pulling bull frog tadpoles out of a small farm in the spring far from their nesting locations.   Much more to come.   Jim

Hopefully there will be many more stories like this one because this is an industry built from corruption, scientific fraud and frankly big ass lies. If Fox News really wanted to bust this wide open they would put on the head of National Audubon, the head of AWEA, the head of the US Fish and Wildlife Service and for good measure throw in a couple of the kingpins of bogus wind industry mortality research. Stantec, Shawn Smallwood and Mr. Kerlinger would be a good place to start. Then let me have a go at all of them.

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
