Buying American And Not From China Means Less CO2
The above photo is Beijing, not Maine. Our air is clean and incredibly cleaner than 50 years ago. So is most of America's air. For those worried about global warming, rather than decorating Maine with foolhardy wind farms which have virtually no effect on CO2 emissions, they should be advocating that we all buy American whenever we can. This is particularly true when comparing the U.S. to China. Has anyone ever heard of an environmental group encouraging support of American based manufacturing over that from China?
Note China's 711 g/kWH is 45% higher than the United States' 489 g/kWH. Also keep in mind that this looks at only electricity.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I happened to find this source but cannot attest to its accuracy. However, I feel it's safe to say that goods produced in China result in more emissions than the same goods produced here in America. What about all the wind turbines and solar panels produced in China and sold here?
