A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHERE YOUR MONEY WENT

As you pay your taxes today ( or if you are a good one who can't wait to give your money away and pay your taxes early), check out where your money went! Or at least nearly $59 billion of it - to support wind and solar and other renewables.  The Federal  DOE 1603 Program is the renewables grant program - out and out giveaways! The Mercatus.org article details, in particular, the Federal DOE 1703 and 1705, renewable energy loan guarantees.  I feel like I've been had - you might also after you read this!

One person's Thoughts

After drafting and ratification of the Constitution, Taxes were to be raised for government debt. A debt that was first to pay the continental army of the American Revolution and then other expenses incurred during the everyday operation of the Government itself. The raising of taxes was never meant to include supporting people or businesses especially those that rely on government funds to exist.

The government is not suppose to be involved in anyway with business for any reason, though we allowed such interaction with first the Rail system, for a national (supposed need) then during the world wars I & II and since. As a government of, for, by the people, we have allowed our Representatives to much latitude to act in our behalf as citizens without any control other than to elect the next crook to that office. Since the Rail expansion corporations have infested the halls of congress and our state legislatures, sometimes threatening, to complete their task of obtaining what they want be it monies, lands or special considerations over the will and needs of this nation's citizens. Sometimes they bribe our officials, and our citizens with secret deals.

Now we are at a juncture where a global (corporate run) marketplace is coming into being with various trade agreements. Trade agreements where (corporate controlled through our government) entire nations will succumb their sovereignty to those corporations that can from time to time persuade a corrupt global court.

Though our Supreme court has found that corporations have a symbolic stature within our constitution as persons, they are not. As a person holds the power to reason logically with responsibility and emotionally a corporation can and usually only acts as directed by a few. If a corporation were truly a person it would not allow itself to be consumed by a global market and become subjected to a non-existence at the control of others that seek to destroy it.

As with taxes, in its non logical approach for all government agencies to increase their wages on the backs of the taxpayers, they justify themselves becoming wealthier by increasing the deductions etc for the "Slave Class" to the point that it is possible to make a fairly decent wage in Maine, without paying income taxes. They presume that if they can not live on a given wage that is where the poverty line should be drawn, thus placing themselves in a lower tax bracket. Soon it will be the wealthy being taxed by the wealthier, and without the "Slave Classes" no one to purchase their products unless they have their miniscule wage.

Have we allowed ourselves to become the modern "Slave Class" by not tending to our Government of, for, by the people ?

I believe we have, and it shall continue until we reform our government from the bottom up, starting with We The People, pushing to regain control. Remembering that what what works in one local is not what is best for all. But when it is for our mutual benefit, work together and do not allow it to overstay its need, welcome or desire. Such is our current governance, and its corrupted system of corporate dominance in the halls of our government. REMOVING CORPORATE PERSONHOOD by constitutional means IS a start.

I agree - But thanks to Paul Ryan and others, these programs have all been reauthorized!  Personally I have been alternatively "feelin the Bern" and wanting to "Male America great again'.  Translated - I am completely fed up with all of them!

I always thought the fairest way to spend our tax money would be to let us designate where we wanted the money to go.  Have a check-list at the end of the IRS form.  That would weed out all the useless programs.

Maine Center For Public Interest Reporting – Three Part Series: A CRITICAL LOOK AT MAINE’S WIND ACT

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
