"When Representative Laura Sibilia, the reporter of S.5 to the full House from the Environment and Energy Committee, rose from her seat on April 20 to explain the bill, she made the following blockbuster admission:
“We have heard folks say that stopping all of Vermont’s emission would do nothing to change the weather patterns that we are seeing with climate change. With apologies to my environmental friends, I mostly agree. If Vermont cannot stop climate change, then why bother bringing forward sweeping climate change bills like the Global Warming Solutions Act and the Clean Heat Standard?”
Why bother, indeed? Critics of the Global Warming Solutions Act and S.5 have been making this argument since these proposals first reared their ugly heads. Has Sibilia had a revelation about the futility of laws she sponsored that purport to solve Global Warming by increasing costs for Vermonters? No such luck!".......
NOT SO FAST, REPRESENTATIVE SIBILIA, NOT SO FAST.....THE ALINSKI TACTICS ARE PAST HISTORY NOW .....

This sounds over the top, but after NY, all bets are off
Stay peaceful, demand Trump stay on the ballots, and vote in November
The only way to stop all this from going down is to peacefully fight to keep Trump on all the state ballots, then turn out in historic numbers to vote as part of the Trump tidal wave on November 5th, even if you don’t like Trump or agree with all his policies. This is no longer an election choice between liberal vs. conservative policies; it’s an election choice between the total annihilation of our constitution republic vs. saving it from tyranny.
Above all, do NOT get seduced into acting out any form of physical rage or violence, as you will be provoked many times between now and November.

Agenda 47
Steve,
Great write-up. It needs to be widely distributed
“hurting Vermonters”
Gee, someone stubbed a toe?
THE S5 “REMEDY” IS FINANCIALLY CATASTROPHIC FOR VERMONTERS, MUCH WORSE THAN THE ALLEGED “DISEASE”
I am saying this as an energy systems analyst with about 40 years of experience and several engineering degrees.
Heat pumps do not ECONOMICALLY work at low temperatures, say 28F or less, in average Vermont houses.
It is not possible, according to Physics 101, and as proven by the DPS-commissioned CADMUS survey of 76 heat pumps at 66 sites, conducted a few years ago.
My house is far better insulated and sealed than the “weatherized” standard
I have 3 years of operating records of my (3) $24000 heat pumps with six heads that prove:
Each year, my ENERGY savings were about $200
Each year, I ECONOMICALLY displaced about 35% of my fossil Btus with electrical Btus.
Each year, my CO2 reduction is not anywhere near the 100% EAN is assuming in its fancy, glossy, lying, misleading reports to the Legislature
MY CONCLUSION:
S-5 IS A $BILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR BOONDOGGLE, BASED ON A LIES

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
