ACTION ALERT. IMPORTANT. MIKE BOND IN PORTLAND THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.

Mike Bond's new book Killing Maine is now out and is attracting a lot of attention. It is a complete attack on the wind industry and the  Maine politicians who have been backing the industry and destroying Maine. He is using Killing Maine to stimulate opposition to industrial wind in Maine, and has had numerous TV and radio interviews in the last couple of weeks, including two Bangor TV stations.
Mike will be speaking this coming Friday, 8/14  at 7:00 pm at Sherman's Bookstore, 49 Exchange Street in Portland.  We hear that folks in the legislature are quite alarmed about the book, as is the wind industry.
Anybody who has the possibility to attend Mike Bond 's reading is encouraged to do so , this would be an excellent venue to add and express any personal experience ,  struggle , loss of money , time or health in dealing with the Maine Legislature ,the Court, the DEP or LURC, or  the wind industry since the inception of the fascist Expedited Wind Law in 2008.

"Killing Maine" by Mike Bond is a thrilling, nail biting, sexy and marvelously fun book. I also shed some tears at some points. I recommend and insist everyone read "Killing Maine".

Thanks for the update, Monique! Would like to go but live to far from Portland! Keep up the great work informing people that big wind generators cause more pollution then they save! I am still working on shutting down the abusive wind generators in Mars Hill because they were installed with used blades, unknown to Mars Hill residents or The state officials!

Yes Pineo Girl, Mike's use of a terrific thriller narrative will spread a story that has been largely ignored and snubbed by the larger  Maine public who does not live in rural Maine and  thus is not affected by the scourge that is industrial wind power  . His book is a tour de force .

Thank you Monique - I  have started reading Killing Maine - It is excellent!!! Not only because it is a very well written page turning, can't put down, thriller - But it also details the corruption and evil side of the of the wind industry as well as the fact that wind is a worthless scam!!!  How long will it take these climate change zealots to figure out - Wind power is not the answer as we all know so well - It is doing more damage than good!

(excerpts) From Part 1 – On Maine’s Wind Law “Once the committee passed the wind energy bill on to the full House and Senate, lawmakers there didn’t even debate it. They passed it unanimously and with no discussion. House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree, a Democrat from North Haven, says legislators probably didn’t know how many turbines would be constructed in Maine if the law’s goals were met." . – Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, August 2010 https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-power-bandwagon-hits-bumps-in-the-road-3/From Part 2 – On Wind and Oil Yet using wind energy doesn’t lower dependence on imported foreign oil. That’s because the majority of imported oil in Maine is used for heating and transportation. And switching our dependence from foreign oil to Maine-produced electricity isn’t likely to happen very soon, says Bartlett. “Right now, people can’t switch to electric cars and heating – if they did, we’d be in trouble.” So was one of the fundamental premises of the task force false, or at least misleading?" https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/wind-swept-task-force-set-the-rules/From Part 3 – On Wind-Required New Transmission Lines Finally, the building of enormous, high-voltage transmission lines that the regional electricity system operator says are required to move substantial amounts of wind power to markets south of Maine was never even discussed by the task force – an omission that Mills said will come to haunt the state.“If you try to put 2,500 or 3,000 megawatts in northern or eastern Maine – oh, my god, try to build the transmission!” said Mills. “It’s not just the towers, it’s the lines – that’s when I begin to think that the goal is a little farfetched.” https://www.pinetreewatchdog.org/flaws-in-bill-like-skating-with-dull-skates/
