RGGI is out of control. Not only do electric customers bills include extraordinary carbon dioxide taxes, these taxes affected the 2025 wholesale prices of electricity by adding $9 per megawatt hour to compensate natural gas plants that pay the tax, AND it also boosts the payments to wind and solar and battery storage that ride the coattails of the settled price of natural gas output. 

RGGI is a government scam, an unscrupulous welfare program for wind, solar and battery storage.
